That seems lite, no?
He’s been gone for 5 years. Rap has moved on. The huge fanbase and anticipation got him 350k.

What happens when the new car smell is gone on week 2 and 3

No rappers that has been active would’ve dropped an album like this. No one wanted this. We wanted music that we can replay

That was 5 years ago breh. Cds are done

Juice WRLD did 100k+ physical last year I believe.

If I’m not mistaken, BTS moved 600k+ physical units in 2020. Taylor Smith moved 280k+ that same year.

Kendrick did 300k+ physical on TPAB as well.

Not arguing about whether CDs are viable still. You can’t dismiss physical sales when an artist’s fanbase has proven they’ll show up.

What's the point of bringing up Drake? Nobody has said Kendrick is going to outsell Drake.

Damn was also his most commercial album, vs a sonic therapy program.

This isn't a flop.
That makes sense. You could argue that Damn was just an aberration and these numbers are more in line with What Kendrick normally does.

Kendrick fans have failed him

why are you guys not supporting the album? shyt should of been cleared 500k by now :mjcry:

350K is excellent for an album of this caliber with NO hit single proceeding it. I brought the album the MOMENT it was available on iTunes and have been streaming across Apple Music and Tidal and many Kendrick fans I know have been at least streaming nonstop.

Like I said before the album released the way streaming is set up (which isn’t fair at all) you gotta have a hit single. The Heart Part 5 was streaming so well it COULD have been Kendrick’s “This Is America” and netted him more sales but he didn’t include it on the album for whatever reason.

All rap artists who didn’t really have a single before launch suffered a sales slump.

Drake went from 720K to 600K between Scorpion and CLB

Cole went from 397k to 282k between KOD and The Offseason

Now Kendrick is doing the same

The rules of streaming are different now. Kendrick is about to have the HIGHEST first sales week of the YEAR. There’s no flop or lack of support. He’s number 1 across ALL streaming platforms.
