I got a sense that n*gga Drake is about to get Ja Rule'd. This is in all seriousness, because a little over 10 years ago (11 to be exact) Ja Rule was in that same level of popularity (in fact, was at his height like Drake is today) and then comes 50 cent gunning for that spot with the Interscope machine behind him. Ja Rule, like Drake today, was making poppy radio hits, needless to say they were huge hit songs but those same fans that rode with him turned on him in a blink of an eye and the shift merged to 50 Cent that following year.
This is almost seem similar and knowing how fickle hip hop fans are the end result isn't looking good for Drizzy. You got Kendrick with the momentum, with that same Interscope machine, and that "new car smell" still circling among hip hop fans. Drake is at his height of his career, but doesn't make hip hop records to keep that core base glued. With the slick calculation by K. Dot to drop this dis on the night of the BET Awards as everyone at attendance and later with the entire nation of hiphop fans checking, people are going to shift their fan loyalty if it's not happening already.
I guess this is why a lot of these Drake Stans are already plea copping, crying about "Bu-bu-bu, Drake put Kendrick ON!" And? So? Jaz-O put Jay-Z on, but what did that have to do with a price of tea in China? To be the king you have to come at the crown. Emceeing rule 101.
