I'm sympathetic towards him, but if you're on parole and told not to be around bangers, then do it. As a result of him not listening he's been shot, confined to a wheelchair, and violated by his parole officer.

I dont think its entirely a bullshyt law as it benefits the community and individuals to keep these fools from congregating together considering 9 times out of ten they're not doing anything constructive. Still, there needs to be some nuance and discretion at play from the police, PO, and judges taking into consideration the things you mentioned.

It's an impractical law that is meant to be broken, placed in the way of felons on parole or probation so that they have a difficult time legally acclimating to a life outside of prison. Do you see the same restrictions applied to predominantly white felons who were convicted of white collar crime, laws that forbid them from being in the company of anyone associated with corporate America?
