Imagine if you was a pretty well known and successful accountant. And some older well known accountant in his day popped up and was like, I like how you be crunching the numbers but, you need to work on your amortization skills if you trying to be a legend :flabbynsick:

You’d be like :gucci: You had your time, let me do my thing. If I needed an accountant mentor, I would reach out. And I do, Bob from finance

Shaq isn't hurting for money these days though :yeshrug:

A lot of this can also be attributive to an unquenched competitive thirst, I'm not saying that's the case for every retired player. But the great ones almost always have the competitive ego, it's what made them great to begin with.

And often times they quit the game because they're bodies' quit on them, but that competitive desire never leaves and probably manifests itself with their "back in my day" shyt talking.

While Shaq be talking down to these guys(that look up to him) has he ever gotten on the court and trained with them? Specifically with the franchise he owns(kings)

Has he ever came down to the gym to talk: train with Bagley or Cousins

I know Dream stay bonding and training with the young generation. they seek him out or he seeks them out.

Nope . He just waits to get any of the credit when they do well :shaq2:

Its one thing for Wilt to do it, but its another for a culture to be built around it.

wilt was a one off at his time. He wasnt on weekly telling folks how the game wasnt shyt.

i’ll never forget two years ago where Westbrook had a run of triple doubles and some hating ass reporter asked MJ a slanted ass question comparing Westbrook’s streak to his streak of ships.

NBA media culture is also trash

To be fair during the time of Wilt, Russell, Oscar, West and them, society didn't have access to the bullhorn of social media

At that time, if you wanted to deliver a message to the masses you had to go through the middlemen of only three TV networks, radio, or some newspapers. There was no NBA on TNT in 1972.

Knew this was gonna be coming when the young cat called Shaq a casual when he said he didn’t know his game. Then Shaq followed up by going on First Take to talk about Kyrie and not playing...and having to be told that Kyrie played last night and dropped 37.

I hate Shaq. :skip:

this might be the final year where the kids take over

I'm somewhere stuck in the middle of this shyt

if you dont take something serious you should take your own advice and ignore it, or fire back.
going back and forth over whos right is a waste of time. Either take the criticism or shyt on Shaq ... some people like being patted on the back, some people need that fire and energy :yeshrug: I think I said it before, I think Shaq came with a corny approach because it was too calculated but at the same time he's allowed to do that. You gotta either tell him to suck dikk or take his advice.... its not some pandoras box you need to open and think too hard about.

This new generation is fags, plain and simple. They ignore advice or criticism of it isn't buffered by 6 compliments beforehand.

The same thing the new generation is upset about is the same thing shaq used to cry

shaq used to get emotional if you brought up his work ethic or free throw percentage. But those were valid and clear criticisms. nikka told D Mitch “you just need to step it up” or something generic snd we think the new generation is slow for not bowing they heads to that? Barkley used to hate in three point shooting vehemently and then the warriors/cavs took over the finals with the best shooters on the court on both sides. These old dudes know the game but when their personality, animosity due to them not being paid like these new guys, and how the game is actually played now a days it’s like watching Walt Disney and those old black and white cartoons try to tell the guys at Pixar how a 3D mouse should look. Like bro, we aren’t even doing the same thing really that you did.

Also that Christian wood thing right before this was damning.
