Here comes the fukkery

This is what I mean. Are they sports journalists or faux therapists? shyt is so corny and lazy. Don’t get me wrong, sports journalism at its best is beautiful. You get detailed stories and insight into players and the sporting world in general. Stories from all parts of sports. I’ve read great content about everything from workout regimens, to hardships overcome, and everything in between. But this shyt here? This lazy bullshyt is trash as hell. Hard to call these dudes journalists. They Just get the latest gossip, filter it with whatever on air alter-ego they’ve created then spew it out :scust:

**Kevin Durant takes a shyt**

Sports writers “What does the color of KD’s shyt tell us about his pending free agency decision? We debate”

Like SHUT UP AND DO SOME ACTUAL WORK

At least the players get paid to play. To be great. Most these sports journalists get paid to do nothing but be around their favorite athletes, pretend not to be biased and lie.

shyt is trash

None of this is his fault though. Sure he's emotional about it but in his mind he can't win. If he talks, he gets his words twisted and used against him. If he doesn't talk, it's speculation and mind reading.

and if anyone wants to rip the writers, keep in mind they do this because they know fans love this gossip as much as the game itself. As far as KD, Irving, AD, etc., the games they play now are secondary to this free agent gossip.
I"m shocked. I expected you to be pro-media all the way on this issue. I agree 100% with everything you said.

It's one thing for the media to cover the games and to even report rumors and the like. But to me it's crossing the line when they start twisting and hanging on every little word. A player says one thing wrong and it's leading off every show saying it's proof a player is leaving or definitively staying. Or it takes (and I believe sometimes makes up) rumors that they hear and then start using confirmation bias by looking at the player's body language or interactions with teammates and attribute it to the rumor being true.

The media plays its part in building interest in the game no doubt. But you can't mad at the individuals affected by this turn to more gossip-based journalism for getting upset considering they are the ones having to walk on eggshells and deal with their teammates side eyeing them based off some reporting that's been done that may not be true. I'd say fukk them too.

I'm not pro-media on this because they're seeking answers to questions that he won't respond to and doesn't have to answer. It's tiring to keep hearing about it as a human being. The Warriors are trying to win another title and not have to worry about all this extra stuff. I get that covering a team like the Warriors can become very tedious without the extra stuff, but they're manufacturing stories if for nothing else to keep the clicks coming. There hasn't been a sit down, a profile piece, anything in-depth. They just came off a national TV win and nobody wanted to ask about stuff particular to the game. That's annoying.

For all of the stuff that every other team is doing, Kevin Durant shouldn't have to respond to any of it because it doesn't involve him right now. KD answered everything asked to him directly. The reporter last night shoulda just accepted his answer and kept it moving. KD could always give the most vanilla answers to stuff (which is probably the right thing to do) but not everybody's built with Derek Jeter-like patience. The last question the reporter asked was insulting and in reality made himself look bad as if he's not there to cover the team but to cover this gossipy stuff.

See here's the funny thing. He doesnt owe the Warrior fans shyt! He delivered them 2 straight championships! At this point the only thing coming out of Warrior fans mouths should be. "Thanks for everything Kevin. We appreciate all that you have done here. Good luck and godspeed with whatever you decide to do"
But we all know theyll make him out to be selfish and a bad guy in the end. :yeshrug:

The Dubs fans that I talk with all feel the same way. IF he leaves (which I don't think is happening...we'll see), then thank you for the fish and best of luck in your future endeavors. No ill will at all. The man helped is win 2 (possibly 3???) 'ships. He's always good in my eyes.....
