the price of his shoes do reflect his value as a player

No it doesn't... Shaq and A.I. kept there shoes affordable..... Durant could still keep those shoes in an affordable price range.... This is a money grab attempt by Nike since he's in a bigger market..... May or may not backfire...

They were going to be 150 if he stayed in OKC or GS so part of your post is based in misinformation like a mofo my man. They probably went up to cover his salary to be honest and it don't really matter anyway they will be on sale soon enough outside of special editions. Truth is some just want to hate on dudes getting more than them with any "valid" excuse in the book.

I paid 120 for the pbj Durants for my daughter . She not even in kindegarten. After this comment I'll never purchase another pair for me or my family . Back to Kobes we go:manny:
No offense they saw you coming and or you wanted to cop them for your daughter before they went down in price. Its all your fault and its not like Kobe's are that less cheaper and you still lining nike pockets. Basically I'm trying to say you ain't saying much fam

Yeah it does. Shaq and AI did something nice, they sold shoes below market value, nice.
Durant doesn't have to keep his shoes at any price, the fact that he raised them and wants to market his shoes at a more premium prices is also his choice and he doesn't owe the ability to buy his shoes at a low price.

This is a business deal, he is changing the pricing of his product, if you can't afford it, to break yourself trying to get them. If you are poor, learn the lesson that sneakers don't mean shyt, just fashion trend.

This is counterproductive to the Nike business model.... it's always been built on the backs of the people who could least afford the shoe...

and Durant knows this.. No shade whatsoever......

Wherever nikkas need to be told on
Its not warped though, the price of his shoes do reflect his value as a player. The more they pay him the more they need to recoup the investment, his pay is based on his value as a player.

He is suggesting that his player value correlates to his shoe value and it is true as I've already described and there is nothing warped in reality about that or factually incorrect about it, it was just phrased oddly.

What is weird is how some in this thread are trying to act like he needs or owes people low prices for his shoes, he doesn't, if he did that would be nice, but he doesn't owe anyone anything.
Have I missed something? Is Nike paying him more since his signing to the Warriors?

I actually went to kids footlocker just for them:yeshrug: I never had a problem paying high prices for my favorite player shoe:yeshrug:The problem starts when he makes comments like this one. He doesn't have a championship and he lost a 3 to 1 lead. If he not a $88 player then what is he?Lebron,Kobe,Jordan all have multiple championships and charge the that price because they have been proven to be worth that price. This nikka dont even have a post up game:usure:

No it isn't.
Nike is built on selling shoes to customers at different levels, they have marquee shoes, they have mid tier and they have low tier shoes.
They have different tiers of shoes and you don't get a business that pulls in billions a year from poor people, you get that by having options
