We have college coaches outwardly saying they’re not recruiting high school kids because they’d rather have a 24 year old super senior,

Then on the other hand you have 14 year olds in 6th grade playing AAU against 11 year olds but there’s no problem with the basketball system here :skip:
??? Because a 24 year old is better than an 18 year old you can’t be that dumb

:dahell: Do you do anything beyond surface level analysis? Why is there a world where there’s a plethora of super senior players muscling out high school kids in the first place? All of that plays into the basketball system here

I don't know why they choose to ignore that US still has like 95% of the best basketball athletes worldwide and really that's what's keeping the gap where it's at up top. It's okay to admit that the system needs some tweaking
What does USA Olympic basketball, which features the 15 best players in the country who have access to the best training and facilities in the world, have to do with product of basketball in the United States as a whole?

Anyone who knows anything about basketball at the middle school, high school and college levels can tell you the quality has gone down. Players are less prepared to play college and pro basketball than they ever have been.
Yall use like 4-5 guys to say America falling off but me bringing up the Olympics is a problem? The best Euro league players are American so their system can’t be that mf great. Yall are just old nikkas who want to shyt on the game today and it’s corny. Every single person says players today are more skilled then ever so explain how the quality went down. Just because you too stupid to understand the game don’t mean it’s a bad product.

He's not American and neither is Embiid....

The point is both of their games were largely developed in the U.S.

SGA & Embiid both played high school, AAU and college in the USA. Yes they are not American but how much credit does Canada and Cameroon really deserve for them being the basketball players they are today?

Again, you’re talking about the 1%. That’s like saying look at GPA of Harvard’s incoming freshman class and saying there’s nothing wrong the US education system

The flip side of it is we’re also doing the same things for their foreign countries. European players in the NBA or even in the Euroleague are also the best of the best their countries, no?

American basketball is fine. Folks get on a mic and speak with authority that they can turn every 15 year old into Kobe.

There's too much clout and success for shytting on American Basketball

I’m involved in American basketball. Covid years are over with, and you have dudes now suing to play more college basketball. Yes, it’s because they’re being paid. And yes, it’s destroying a generation of younger players.

All of it plays into the overall basketball system here.
