If KD didn’t expect black lash for joining the 73 win Warriors ... lol

He's probably talking about the Draymond + Myers situation, in addition to the drama that David West was alluding to when he retired.

Getting heat from outsiders is one thing, but when you face it from those within your organization too then it's probably best to just dip. KD made the right decision in the end.

I get that if he wins one in Brooklyn it would end all the debates about him getting rings with Golden State, but will it really? The whole point of this move is to prove he can win one without them and on his own team. But then what was the point of even going to GS if you don't feel your rings are validated? He essentially just wasted his time getting these rings and finals MVPs if he feels he still has to go somewhere else to prove himself.

Same shyt as Lebron in Miami and people said those rings don’t count. Then he came back to CLE, won one and people count all 3. Trust if KD wins NY a ring, all 3 of the rings being counted, don’t believe all this asterisk hype. That nikka and Kyrie Win NY a ring and watch how quick the narrative change

I watched the sports media go from calling Lebron a habitual Choke artist to better than MJ. People are fickle.

If all this shyt about being under appreciated is true, then why not just let them dudes lose when you were out?

Why did Curry bring his ass all the way to NY from China to recruit? And Klay allegedly was gonna be on FaceTime?

This sounds like the media trying to pin this on GS fans because somebody has to be the blame.

Lots of articles out there I think these deserve they own thread. Please don't merge @CHICAGO @Houston911

A source close to Durant also told The Undefeated there were several things that took place over the past year that caused the star to leave. While Durant’s shocking move to join the Warriors in 2016 quickly paid dividends for him — two straight championships and two Finals MVP awards — there was always the sense that the 10-time All-Star felt like a distant second fiddle to Stephen Curry.

Perhaps it would have helped the Warriors’ cause if their fans showed more love and appreciation for Durant’s elite achievements.

Curry regularly received MVP chants from the Warriors crowd when he shot free throws, while that didn’t become commonplace for Durant until this past postseason.

While Perkins wouldn’t go into detail, he believes Durant had “one foot out the door” this past season because the Warriors made him feel unappreciated.

The love for Curry in the Bay Area certainly was understandable as he was a homegrown draft pick in 2009 and the face of the franchise. But perhaps it would have helped the Warriors’ cause if their fans showed more love and appreciation for Durant’s elite achievements. Instead, there was a perception that the world’s most talented basketball player just jumped onto the championship bandwagon.

When asked about all of the negative things that transpired with Durant and the Warriors over the past year, a source close to Durant said: “All that showed a lack of respect for one of the greatest players to put that uniform on and the fact that he took all that abuse and still put his career on the line to help them win.”

Furthermore, Ethan Strauss of The Athletic wrote the following Sunday night:

In truth, KD was never embraced or loved by local fans on the level of the incumbent Curry.

This is undeniable, and it impacted Durant's outlook on his future.

Durant hit pieces:whew:
