I'm not buying that narrative for the whole team, the only guy I buy that for is Draymond cause he's actually dumb as fukk. The media already trying to start the narrative of who's team will the Nets be and who is the alpha. I can't imagine what type of different stories they would be talking about if the Nets somehow are a top team in the east next season and Kyrie won MVP.
What kinda people does KD have around him? Is nobody being honest with him? How could they be shocked Steph was getting more love in GS than him? How could they be shocked the fans didn't fully embrace him when there's been whispers of him leaving the past two years?
There were stories after the 2018 Finals that the entire front office was holding their breath about him possibly leaving back then after winning the second title.
We're never gonna see an athlete of his caliber with this kind of insecurity again. It's truly remarkable and frustrating.

This is why KD isn’t appreciated as he wants to be. He thinks he’s done everyone a favor opposed to it being an even exchange.
Truth be told, it makes a lot of sense why he’s been the only superstar in the history of sports to have his mother running around on live TV defending him on multiple occasions. Emotional and sensitive even ar 30+ years old.
Its kind of weak to involve the fans. And im not saying that about KD personally because I didnt hear it from his own mouth, but thats the fate for guys that up and jump teams every 3-4 years, you dont build up the same equity with the fans as players who have spent their whole career there.
