It's a complex game. If you don't have any connections then you are wasting money and time. That's why there are so many hustlers in the music industry fronting as a connect to a producer, label, rapper, mogul, etc... Then you got the people who really know the connects, but will do slimy shyt like make you sign to they company before they get you meetings so they eat off the back en and the front end of your deal. Finessing finders fees off both sides an all that shyt.
But money can get you on if you spend it right. I know for a fact that you could BUY a deal from Universal/Bungalo back in the mid 2000's. If you know how to hustle, you can turn a major record deal into income. Especially with independent artist who want to work with someone who is already "on" you can at least rack up on feature money for shyt that ain't gonna get cleared anyway ( which is a whole different subject and another dirty game)
