Love reminds me of Barkley in terms of the situation he's in. Barkley had two straight seasons as the man with a sad ass supporting cast, got himself in a better situation, and immediately went to the Finals.
Of course, Love doesn't remind me of Barkley in terms of talent. Love doesn't have Chuck's avility to get to the rim at will. Barkley had a stretch of six straight seasons during which he shot between 57% and 60% from the floor. At 6'6.
:wow:

Love can't get his own shot, but he has moves on the block, range to keep the defense honest, and good (though overstated) court vision. He rebounds like a beast. As you said, nothing wrong with being an elite side piece.

Fixed, that beard makes him dreamy :wow:

Yeah Wolves fukking sucked b. THey either blew out people or choked away games they should've won. The reason for that is because they sucked and were inconsistent. If love had a bad game, they lost, if he was absolute on fire, they won.

I don't think that's because he's such an outstanding player, I just think they were a horrible team and he was the one fakkit that stood out. I love Gorgui dieng's game a lot though ever since i saw him at Louisville. He'd be a great pick up if they can snag him, but yeah, I'm actually one of those guys that hated on Wiggins as a build-around piece, but if you got bron on your team it changes everything.

I say they keep him because I know firsthand that Love is not a guy I'd want to depend on to be that secondary or even tertiary safety valve on either end of the ball

Actually they won ONE game where he scored 40 or more. Every other time, they lost. They've had an awful record any time he scores over 35 historically.

We're a month away from seeing that become reality if he's a Cav OR Bull

Nah, we are not going to see that, man. You typed "at best" a 3rd or 4th option on a contender. "At best."

I mean, I know Love has his shortcomings, but he will be "at best" the 2nd option and at worst the 2B or 3rd on the Cavs, depending on the night and the opponent.

I don't watch much NBA, but I remember them hyping the fukk out of that Rubio kid a couple years back. So he aint shyt, eh?
He's one of the worst shooters ever, but not bad at anything else. That said, he's the 3rd best of the 4 PGs from my post & the one I quoted

If he's on Chicago, there's 2 players more valuable than him already there in Noah and Rose.

If he's on Cleveland, there's 2 players more valuable than him there in LeBron and Irving. For a guy who is this can't miss, gotta have player, you got teams going :whoa: over pieces they shouldn't be tripping over. Even in this forum where the opinion on Love couldn't be more bizarre. You got guys saying "fukk that stat padding loser, you better take Waiters and filler" and then turn around and be like "Wolves stupid, shoulda gave him the 5th year" :mindblown:

It would be like OKC offering Minny KD and me saying "nah but what about Shabazz"

I go back and forth. You keep Wiggins and he doesn't turn into anything special, at least you still have payroll flexibility, and someone would still take a chance on him next year. And if he does turn into something special, you have him under contract for cheap and you still have a window of flexibility.

On the other hand, the Wolves outscored opponents by 5 whenever Love was on the court, ranked near the bottom in point differential whenever he wasn't. They were near the top of the league in 30 point leads last season, but at the bottom in terms of winning close games. Love has never had much of a team around him. His defense is a joke, but maybe that changes when he can expend less energy on offense because Kyrie and LeBron are putting in work, and he can concentrate more on defense.

If they get Dieng (which I doubt they will), they have to do it. If not, yeah, they might regret the trade a lot.

He's such a petty overrated piece of shyt. fukk Karl and his playoff flops.
The fit makes too much sense with LeBron, Love and Irving. Love doesn't need the ball on offense to produce and he keeps the spacing for LeBron and Irving to create. Would anyone be surprised if he put up similar numbers in Cleveland, even as the second option? To me, their offense, especially in the east, would have the potential to be incredibly efficient, which would improve their defense.

If the other teams are always taking the ball out under the basket, they aren't going to score as effectively against Cleveland, even with some of the defensive prowess they'd lose with Wiggins being dealt. It's hard for me to believe LeBron wouldn't have some type of impact on the effort and intensity that Love and Irving play with on the defensive end too. He'll hold those guys accountable.

An overlooked aspect is the pride of Love and Irving. There's been a lot of talk about how they aren't winners and they put up hollow stats. All these guys have significant egos. Playing on a team with LeBron in a terrible conference with a legit shot at going to the Finals should provide them ample motivation to take their games up a notch and prove they're legit stars/superstars.

Great passer and creator, and really good defender. He's just awful at shooting, and scoring. Historically bad.
