Google knows from looking at your resume whether or not you have what it takes to be a software developer at the company.

But, they still put you through several rounds of interviews to get to know your true capability.

Google is a "high-value" company that a lot of people want to work for. Google would be dumb to just rush to hire anybody off first glance.

But at the same time I see his point that women would be wasting their prime years if they wait too long for a guy who's not sure he's going to marry her.

Like imagine a broad is 25 and a dude holds her for 5 years and then finally decides he does NOT want to marry her.

I feel like one year is a good length of time to decide if you want to marry someone, especially if you're dating with a purpose. 6 months is too short imo, but I feel like 2 years would be the absolute longest it should take to marry someone.

Nobody that wants to get married should be giving away 5 years of their life to someone in a relationship.
