Going from Tartt to Hufanga at SS is a downgrade until proven otherwise, imo

Everybody likes to point to that dropped INT against the Rams but ignore how since 2019 the defense rarely gave up explosive plays rarely when Ward/Tartt were healthy. I hope Hufanga proves me wrong, but I have my doubts

Huff has a better sense for the ball than Tartt which is saying something for a rookie. I think if he stays healthier than Tartt he will be as good.if not better.

I would look at this another way. Basically the worst Trey Lance can be is dead average. Which is good enough to make the Wild Card.

seems like he's the starter they trust his instinctual abilities and he was taking snaps from Tartt last year this coaching staff loves him.
