It's a damn shame that the Left has failed to defend gun rights over the past few decades and allowed it to come down to this, but the NRA is the only organization large enough to protect gun rights. That's just a reality at this point.

Like, they think that background testing is bad and think that anything short of driving drunk with a loaded AK is taking away their freedoms. Just cause people with a progressive mindset want gun ownership to be regulated to handguns with 10 bullets per round, doesnt mean banning of all firearms.
Those same emotional ass people are the same ones that argue about owning these WMDs in the form of a gun, want to have them for the most irrational reasons. The craziest set of people wanting to own the super powerful weapons that can wipe out entire towns.

There definitely are levels to things and most people can't even understand the first level.
Without writing a dissertation my position is that the Dems and Republicans are both capitalist parties, both are advocates of white supremacy, and they do not serve the masses. There are some policy differences here and there that affect things in the short-term, but for whatever the pluses their policies have, there are big trade-offs elsewhere which lead to the same end of the road.
They're serving the same ends ultimately.
Liberal success in disarming the population will complete the cypher in securing American fascism.
