the current laws do work...as it's led people who aren't able to legally purchase/possess firearms.... to use illegal means to obtain them.


We aren't out here limiting the amount of cars that you can buy or access to them because people continually steal them, drive drunk/imparied or drive on suspended/revoked or without license.....and people die at way higher rates than die from guns.

There are a variety of ways in which the state goes after illegal cars, chop shops, and other ways in which stolen cars are distributed. The problem with this comparison to guns is that for the last 20 years, the federal government has not really gone after gun trafficking. Much of that focus was dismantled in the early 00s during Bush's terms. Gun trafficking and straw purchases are the major drivers of gun crime in America. Both practices flood inner cities with guns. People ask why does Chicago have so much gun crime despite tough gun laws. The answer is simple and obvious: Illinois is surrounded by states with little to no gun laws, and people drive those guns in underground and sell them, or trade them for drugs.

You want to decrease gun violence in inner cities? Let the ATF do it's job and track gun trafficking. Let the FBI do its job and go after it as well. Everyone here has seen The Wire right? Remember the scene in S1 where the dude from the feds said the department wouldn't give a shyt about Avon unless his last name was Mohammad? That's what happened to the FBI in real life. They've moved away from guns, mafia, etc in favor of terrorism. That needs to change.

The thing is they train under a code, ethics, punishments for not follow them, and understand long term effects. Until black folk get on the Black Panther wave that is off of the paradigm of selfishness, materialism, greed, ignorance and other negative mentalities that ravages the current black community, we cannot allow heavy power guns in our arms, cause it will be used against other black people, not white folks.

You think that we dont have criminals, c00ns, spies, and greedy brehs in our ranks that will do the white mans work for them, you are wrong. Assault weapons At the hands of the wrong black people, the black community will be finished.

We need to establish a code like the Black Panthers first before owning heavy handed weapons first.

You want assault weapons being fired on domestic grounds and crowded neighborhoods where stray bullets kill innocent people?

I already mentioned the Virginia tech shooter killed 32 people (3rd largest) with handguns with 10 and 15 round mags. Handguns are just as lethal!!!



If someone told me ban assault weapons or handguns I'd vote to ban handguns they are killing black people substantially higher than assault rifles. Handguns are cheaper, easier to conceal, and easier to hide for gangs and the narcotic trade. It's easier for a child to injure and kill themselves playing with a handgun too when stupid people don't lock up their guns.

White militias are on my list of concerns but definitely not higher than armed agents of the state.

Thas only because the government doesn’t allow the white militias to kill you. It’s the government who ended slavery. It’s the government that stopped white militias like the kkk from openly terrorizing blacks during Jim Crow. The government is the only thing standing in the way of these white militias from killing you or throwing you back on a plantation somewhere right now. Without the government, black people would be food to white people right now.

To clarify my position, I’m not a fan of the government and I advocate that blacks take up arming themselves. My position is about the law in reference to white people because we as blacks are ALWAYS going to have to go outside of the law to protect ourselves. I don’t give a fukk about gun restriction laws because they effect whites more than blacks. Anything that takes guns out of the white populations hands, in at least willing to listen to.

I remember the guns MLK and the civil rights marchers used to affect change.

Nonviolent protests predictcates your oppressors having a conscience.
