Let us who enjoy the series :eat:

I enjoyed the series breh, I'm not hating, I'm just saying I'm gonna have to play this before I get all excited.

I got excited for kz2 and it had awful controls
I got excited kz3 and it was laggy as fukk online, and very noobish

I'm gonna reserve judgment for this one

Now the cat is out of the BAG, one of the Devs over at Beynod3d said just up until recently the dev kits where only letting you use 1.5gigs of ram and wonders if the demo was made with that dev kit.

Because i think this game could have been running on the 2.2GB of ram devkit.

Less than that. Most kits until pretty recently had only 1.5 GB usable for graphics

Killzone has always looked awesome, and I've a big fan of Killzone 2. (got the Platinum Trophy on that one)...

With that said, I'm really reserved on this one. Killzone 3 was a rushed piece of shyt when compared to Killzone 2 and it was honestly one of my biggest letdowns of this gen. Killzone 2 is a certified classic, only people saying otherwise probably didn't play the game long enough to understand the shyt.

If this game is Killzone 2 with next-gen graphics, I might cop a PS4 just for it. I'll check and see what the features are for this game's multiplayer before even considering it, because I swear if they keep it Killzone 3ish then fukk em.

I was going to make a thread but I see you already did. Will post what I was going to link here...

IGN Article and Video
E3 2013: Killzone: Shadow Fall Has Made Me A Believer - IGN

Guerrilla Games is crafting what, to me, is most reminiscent of what a game would look like if Killzone collided with something more akin to Crysis. No, Shadow Fall doesn’t take place on a single wide open map that can be explored at will, but it does take place on a series of large, non-linear maps that encourage you – and outright require you – to tackle concurrent objectives in any order of your choosing. As a result, Shadow Fall is immediately deeper and more tactical than any of the core Killzone titles that came before it.

Immediately, Shadow Fall felt unlike any Killzone game that came before it, not only because of its non-linear mission structure and wide-open, fully explorable maps, but because it’s also a technically deeper experience from a gameplay perspective. This isn’t just a shooter anymore; it’s far more complex, so much so that I handed the DualShock 4 over to a guy from Guerrilla after being ruthlessly massacred several times so I could at least see the proper experience.

Destructoid Article
Killzone: Shadow Fall looks like a strong launch title - Destructoid

The most immediate impact that Shadow Fall makes is with its graphics. All the hardware that's packed into a PS4 makes for a hell of a visual experience. The game is simply stunningly beautiful in the one outdoor environment that I was able to play. It was hard not to sit still at moments to take in the skyline, water, and cliffsides.

Fortunately, the excellent graphics are backed by what appears to be an enticing game design. It seems that every level will be open-ended, with different objectives scattered throughout. This leaves the player in the position of being able to methodically approach levels as they choose. However, it's not immediately clear whether these objectives will always be clearly laid out, or if it will require familiarization with the level to know where to go.

The other takeaway from the demo was that it was fairly difficult. A run-and-gun approach certainly won't suffice. Particular care needs to be taken to constantly minimize the number of enemies that show up, and to dispose of them while utilizing the environments as best as possible. It's nice that it's not just another mindless shooter.
