neither is Kendrick. Newbies are fooled by topics but when asked, can't tell you what deep observation Kendrick has ever made about such topics.

Kendrick doesn't talk about shyt, my nikka.

creates concepts you've seen/heard a million times in prior rap, paints shytty vague half-pictures, tells generic vague stories, recites shytty poetry, and the rest of your post is blah blah blah on some Biz Markie shyt.

You're a young cat who thinks everything artistic in hip hop revolves around bars. When in fact, the genre revolves around the "get down" and being able to flow over the "get down."

Kendrick is a bullshyt rapper with a bullshyt voice and mediocre beat selection.

bruh this analysis was so lolworthy. the nikka has put out 3 back to back to back albums that most people say are all classics. Only nikkas that I can say are on that level are some Nas, Pac or Kanye ass nikkas. Bruh is simply a GOAT in the making.

you're a follower. Not interested in the opinions of followers because followers don't think for themselves.

no following about it, facts is facts. Section.80, Good Kid, M.a.a.d City, and To Pimp a Butterfly are classic albums easily. Kendrick has had among the greatest starts to a career of any musical artist ever in nearly all aspects.

No troll, I believe it was a plant.

i would like to think not, but i wouldn't be surprised.

Rocky took a homeless kid off the streets. Put him on his album and gave him a place to live..

Who cares.

Rocky was homeless himself and became a famous rapper, a model/fashion icon and stays fukkin these models in movies at Canne's.

Nah everything artistic doesnt revolve around bars...I look at the whole package

Conceptually kendrick provides a different take on things compared to those before him

Show me a rapper who has done an album like GKMC conceptually...I'll wait

Conceptually(music side) kdot does things way different from his peers and his blend of influences is both unique and refreshing

Basically this all comes down to the fact that u urself arent deep so u cant recognize depth...
You lack a sense of spirituality and pride yourself for your vapidness so you regard any attempts at actual depth as "corny"
So the actual issue isnt kendrick..its actually you
Makes sense the only thing u see as depth nowadays is in the form of irony and satire from the artist known as lil b

Case and point.....you are the problem....and thats that
And I guarantee that no one will ever ever in their lifetime say that Asap rocky's music ssaved my life and bettered my life

Never

Cant say the same for Kdot :mjpls:

And thats how depth works

Define "conceptually". Be clear.

And don't cop out like "oh, you don't know what conceptual so you stupid and I wont even bother to explain cuz you stupid."

Please elaborate.

except my favorite rappers of all time are Nas, Rakim, Jay-Z and Ghostface.

Yet I'm not interested in intelligence and depth.

I'll address the rest of your post after you respond to my questions and if it's still relevant to do so

Conceptually as in a first person never-ending musical story that tells the tale of a good kid growing up in the hood from his adolescent years till he eventually finds redemption ....drawing parallels between the physical and the spiritual to tell this story
Sounds common....but trust it'l be harder to find an album that did what GKMC does

As far as elaborating on that second point...
Nobody in rap today utilizes pitch and acknowledges that pitch is a significant tool to be used to enforce a certain idea or concept in a song like kdot does

And his cadences and flows unlike his peers..are many a time influenced from outside the genre of hip hop

That's pretty much Illmatic. Except Nas is not as 'good' a kid as Kendrick, Nas injects several disconnected narratives in his rhymes while GKMC relies on skits to tell one ordered boring story (keep it real, the skits do the heavy lifting) and then Kendrick ramps up the Bible worship.

At the end of the day, it's same ol shyt. It's a tired concept at this point and I've heard it done in hundreds if not thousands number of underground rap albums that were either ignored or no one cares about anymore.

Doesn't Fashawn have albums like this? Growing up a good kid in a rough environment? I could be wrong.

Either way, the idea of a kid coming out the ghetto, surrounded by bullshyt but deciding to go a different route is not novel at all.

It's an old ass idea. Ever heard Gimme the Loot?

Difference is that when Biggie does it, it sounds amazing. When Kendrick does it, it sounds terrible. But Kendrick relies on the pitch excuse to hide the fact that he doesn't have a voice for rap and shouldn't be rapping period.

And his cadences and flows unlike his peers..are many a time influenced from outside the genre of hip hop

I'm in Canada. that link doesn't work for us freedom fighters. Is that some kind of special Youtube link?

Basically most of your retorts are on opinionated fronts so I cant argue against it...People think kendrick's take on music and how he utilizes pitch and his cadences are great.u dont...thats all it comes down too

Just like how u think asap rocky is amazing while most ppl think he's either wack or okay

It is what it is :yeshrug:

The link was his "for free" song
