I really think the Lakers need to consider the long term approach. Lebron is a free agent next summer. Plus, he could either retire or leave via free agency. Either way you have to prepare for life after Lebron. HIre a coach that can not only win a ship but also see the org through a rebuild. The Cavs weren't patient with Lue to see the rebuild through. Like why can't you have the best of both worlds? Instead of hiring one coach for the rebuild. Then once you get good, fire him and get a big name coach.

Not with Lebron James on their team they won't.

Why does everyone hate Mark Jackson?

Didn't you hear? Mark Jackson the black boogie man of coaching. Say his names 3 times in the mirror and he will come and destroy your team...:mjlol:.

Its a multifaceted issue. One he is a black coach and even in the progressive NBA most fans hate black coaches and almost always don't want them unless they walk on water and cure cancer or come on to take over a trash team to build them up until a white coach comes along to take them over. Even the liberal ass LA lakers ain't had but 2 black coaches and it took them until 2011 to get the first 1.

Even though the racist red neck Boston area done had 6 black head coaches with the celtics and by the time the lakers were on their first black head coach the celtics were on their 5th. And out of the 5 they had before their current head coach, 3 of them won championships with two of them taking over championship teams (Russell and KC Jones) in the middle of their championship runs.

The second part is Mark never bites his tongue, has had run ins with management and has said some things concerning gays. To top it off he is an extremely religious person which white folks hate religious black folks unless they are on some turn the other cheek type religious when none black folks harm them...cough cough Charlston.

All this makes Mark the big bad boogie man that the sports media loves to pull out any time there is a coaching vacancy. Its really ridiculous cause one unless he getting a fat contract (which he ain't cause these NBA teams like to nickel and dime black coaches outside for a few) he ain't coming out of retirement and dude is almost 60 years old and and he got a cushy job where he can live good and only works during the season.

Mark Jackson as likely to get a head coaching job as 84 year old Lenny Wilkins...:mjlol:. This is total clown shyt for hits and clicks.

This would be hilarious just because of how both sides operate. Mark Jackson was paranoid big time when he was a Warriors coach and made everyone from FO/assistant coaches an enemy. And then there are the Lakers who will only hire you if you let them choose your assistants and let Kurt Rambis be all up in your business every practice. Maybe Mark Jackson is willing to change his way to be hired but Lakers will demand all this. This is why we are not going to hire a good coach and why Ty Lue backed out.
