Its a boss move cuz he was playing in the summer league this time last year. He got the deal he wanted in a great city. The Knicks broke their promise...they lied to Lin...upset and alienated a good portion of Knicks fans cuz they took a BUSINESS decision from a young man...PERSONALLY. Dude just wants some financial security. If they said they were gonna match the offer...and didnt...then they dropped the ball. I don't hate the Knicks...and they're prolly better off without him. But he's in a better position...more money...less taxes...and pretty much a guaranteed spot in the starting lineup for a team thats actually won a few championships in the last 20 years....instead of fighting 3 other point gaurds for a spot on a low balling, vindictive, franchise with freezing winters and teammates who never really wanted to play with him. Just how I see it.

We signed Felton once we were letting him go .he was the starter kidd was the back up the other guy is third string we went thru 4 PGs last year . Freezing winters?Yes we have cool winters but yet new York is still the best city .

Those angry twitter CACs do not represent how the majority of NY'ers feel about this mess...IMO the Knicks made the right business move, my problem is even when they make the right move they make themselves look like jackasses...You don't allow dude to test the market, leak to the media you'll match and then not do it because you feel scorned he got a better offer...Lin did exactly what anybody in his situation would have done...The fact he went back to Houston for a better deal is no reason to be upset at the guy...He was a FA, this is a business and thats how the game is played...

My gut instinct was always...even if the Rockets offered a 1 dollar contract the Knicks werent matching.

They pursued Nash, signed Kid...and Dolan was hanging out with Felton a month ago already now...Lin was never in their plans....obviously ppl dont agree with my take on why, but the writing was on the wall a while ago that this dude was gone.

They have no star players and no point guard as they lost their starter and backup. They were more desperate than the Knicks.
