Actually if Big was alive they would of done a Video, it was in his plans to release "Notorious Thugs" in phase 2 of the "Life After Death" singles that Puffy didn't release. As for him paying homage. Maybe but the reality is most Rap Fans agreed that Biggie murdered it. Sure there are Bone fans that feel Bizzy and Krazyie went in too. I think all 3 went in but Big just brought awhole nother energy to the record. It was like with Bone we got what we expected. With Big we got the unexpected. I can't put Flesh over Krazyie. Krazyie is the most complete emcee of the group IMO.

Very true. He might be paying homage but Krayzie knows Big killed that song & every verse & feature he was on. It's only nowadays people try to rewrite history when it comes to that verse. When LAD dropped people couldn't believe he switched his flow & out rapped them on their style. That was a surprise to most

nobody revised any opinions on the song.

the only difference is that back then, you obviously were just fielding new york-centric opinions.

Err1 agrees big verse on notorious thugs is 1 of the greatest ever

I guess err1 is ec bias

Not at all. It was a fact back then & still is. Revisionist history at it's finest on your part

:mjlol:

you dudes are just pulling chit out of your ass and running with it.

fact: people who legitimately listened to bone and/or double-time rap in general, NEVER held that biggie verse in high regard.

because bone's verses are nearly impossible to duplicate.

anybody who cuts the song off after biggie's verse, hold no weight in this discussion and just arent into double-time rap.

da brat >>>>> biggie in double-time. hell, she outshined biggie on a regular track, btw.

You're pulling that outta your ass. It was common knowledge back then that Big flipped & out did their style back then which shocked all of hip hop. Krayzie even admits Big dropped a sick verse & sounded better than them yet you cling to the idea that theirs was better...:mjlol: That's a joke. The same centric views & bias you try to cast on NY'ers is the exact same thing you're guilty of.

:what:

Biggie spitting the double time flow trumped everything/totally flipped the script, NOBODY was expecting that, and to top it off he killed it lyrically. Testament to how great an MC Biggie was. Krayzie knew what time it was, otherwise he wouldnt have went so hard on the track himself, hell he even admitted Big got them on the record.

lol @ saying "anyone can rap fast", and then trying to prop up a biggie & nas' sloppy as flows in the same breath.

:heh:

man im not gonna keep going back-n-forth in a repetition match. thats silly.

the bottom line is that people opposing your views on this song is nothing new in 2014. millions of people had the same opposing views back in 1997. YOU just werent exposed to it. and i understand, cuz im east coast too. just leave it at that.

and you know dam well that krayzie is just paying homage to the deceased. if the roles were reversed, you would be singing a different tune. lol.

biggie flipped the script? nobody was expecting it? LOL. are we gonna act like reverend run didnt just do it months before biggie? the whole biggie thing was just propaganda that just became the cool thing to say, to the point where people started taking it as fact.

lol @ krayzie going hard on the track. thats another tall tale. all he did was a watered-down rehash of a verse from an unreleased track. his original verse, and the song itself were better.

the only person that went all out for this track was biggie himself, taking the track home and not letting anybody hear his verse until it came out. if he did that on a song with an east coast group, people would be crying foul. not to mention that the bad boy camp themselves told the story, and also how bone was done when they did their verses. but i'll let yall continue basing your arguments off of false statements and assumpions. dont mind me.

and big still came up short. yall talk flow(LOL) and lyrics, but bizzy merked biggie in every category on here.

You keep speaking as if you were old enough to have these kinds of discussions with young adults or old heads back in 97. You said you were 11/12 when he died right? So what kind of discussions could you have at that age for real? I was a young adult back then & had those discussions with NY'ers & southern peoples that couldn't believe Big not only did their style but out did them. The hype behind that Big verse was the fact that it was his first time changing his flow that drastically & he out rapped them all by far. That's a fact anyone old enough would cosign that like @NormanConnors did. I was there & had these discussions with many different adult rap heads back then. It's only recent history where cats like you wanna flip the script & downplay not only Big but east coast rap in general.
