Never met Bambatta but I know alot of cats from Zulu Nation.

I had reserved judgement til recently... but when Lord Jamar said he believes the allegations, I gotta trust that.
I've performed with Brand Nubian. Lord Jamar is a 100% solid cat. He wouldn't just say no shyt outta left field... so Bambatta is looking suspect as hell.

I think if he focused on making hip hop an economic thing, and not some spiritual thing, he might have made what he wanted. That metaphysical stuff is good when its combined with how reality is functioning. He is ignoring how things are, to have beliefs that help his thoughts keep going, and I think this is why his movements never make big traction, he ignores how the reality is for the people he is trying to help.

If he is tough as he claims, he has to except his Idol is a liar, and not what he thought he always was. This is why you should not praise people too much, you will get hurt a lot of times when the curtain is pulled back.

Yeah, I do because berry's errant behavior is what led to the culmination of him being jailed in just theory behind his character and nOt about exact guilt for the exact crime he was jailed and convicted for.
If, he was more cognitive of his acts and would have adjusted his character.
It would not have lead to the situation he encountered later in devoid of the extreme racism and times.
If berry was more responsible his iteration of blues would not have been b*stardized in his jailed absence.
So, I do hold him accountable to how rock was swayed into being the cultureless.
It is the same situation that occurs in numerous culture based or just a leg away from cohesive cultural expression.

Actually, one of the unique and great things about hip hop is that "leaders" and "stars" are NOT infallible.

If you fall off, you're gone. We've moved on. Fight for your spot back.

If you are not who you appear to be, you're gone.

Obviously, the Bambaaataa situation is potentially much worse. But the results are the same: you're off Mt Rushmore. You don't exist anymore. Hip hop will move on, continuing to embrace what was great about the past and hopefully creating greatness in the future (the amount of that can be debated, I guess).
