Terry had proven himself in playoff runs before. 18ppg on 51/49/88 in the '05 postseason. 22ppg on 48/32/73 in the '06 Finals. Then 18ppg on 48/44/84 in the '11 postseason. Everyone already knew he was a baller.
Mo never did jack shyt in the playoffs either before Bron or after. His entire career he's sucked ass in the playoffs cause he's too short and unathletic to do anything on either end once playoff intensity starts. The ONLY reason Mo was ever hyped was because he was on Bron's team and everything around Bron gets more attention. Mo Williams averaged 15ppg on 40/35/79 splits in '09/'10.
If Jason Terry played like Mo Williams then there is zero chance the Mavs win the title that year. Mo could make wide-open shots during the regular season, but at 6'1" with limited athleticism he couldn't get good shots and was inefficient as hell during the playoffs, especially in big series. Not to mention that Terry played hard defense within the Mavs zone while Mo just stayed getting burned by everyone.

He played 13 years in the league and never saw nearly as much success as he did with Bron in any other season, averaged 5.9ppg on 40.9% shooting in the rest of his postseason performances.
