Wow, but if he’s drafted top 10 then he will make more on the first contract
He’s very undersized as a QB, and he’s not a cac he’s already at a huge disadvantageLol I been knew this. If he wanted to play baseball tbh he wouldn't have even played football this season.
And ya'll talking about baseball money. If he played baseball there's a decent chance he'd be in the minors forever not doing anythingPlus, baseball owners are trying to regulate/kill those huge contracts
And he can make WAY more as a superstar NFL QB, and make more than his A's contract as a journeyman backup QB![]()

You got it backwards. The cap on what baseball teams are allowed to pay rookies means football money is better early on. That 4mil contract he's getting is all he'd get for years until he (if) he made the majors, and then after that those mega bucks baseball contracts don't kick in until you hit free agency and baseball deals are designed to keep you underpaid until you're 28-32. And minor league baseball players make WAY less than the "pennies" NFL players make.Plays baseball now and is successful = 29-30 year old FA with a possible 100 million dollar contract waiting for him
Plays baseball in 4-5 years and is (somehow) successful = making "pennies" throughout your prime and having to sign a bargain contract like most 33-34 year olds
I'd chase baseball now and come back to football. Better shot breaking in as a 25 year old QB than a 25-26 year old OF in A ball.

Rules changed. Cubs gave him a Major league deal when he got drafted. The A's aren't allowed to do that for Murray, so that 4.6mil will have to last him until he made the majors as minor league players make D League money.Jeff samardjia not complaining, I mean the kid was a 1st rounder for a reason
