TheColi showing its ignance once again.

If he's a 1st rd pick in this weak qb draft he's already matched his baseball money. And he wont be toiling in the minors on bus rides, crappy minor league stadiums and games and wasting his super talent which is more useful in football.

Plus he has Mayfield and Rileys reputation going for him and even in a "bad" game against bama he threw for 300+ and over 100yds on thr ground.

Easy choice to me.

And if he doesn't like his draft grade, maybe he'll withdraw his name

That’s not a guarantee 15-20 year career. I got two friends who were drafted one went in the first and the other in the second, and both of them aren’t playing anymore. They made good money, but baseball isn’t as easy as you guys have made it out to be either.

Byron buxton was the second pick in the draft in 2012 got a 6 million signing bonus

7 years later total cash earned 7.3 million and has bounced around the majors and minor leagues

A guy like Derek Carr second round pick in 2014

Has already made 52 million dollars

He was already given a first round grade

And All it takes is one team and as I said before I wouldn’t be shocked if a team already told his agent if he’s there we will take him

Dak Prescott makes 3 mill a year of endorsements

You got it backwards. The cap on what baseball teams are allowed to pay rookies means football money is better early on. That 4mil contract he's getting is all he'd get for years until he (if) he made the majors, and then after that those mega bucks baseball contracts don't kick in until you hit free agency and baseball deals are designed to keep you underpaid until you're 28-32. And minor league baseball players make WAY less than the "pennies" NFL players make.

The economic move is the one he's making. Get a big rookie deal in the NFL and then move to baseball in a few years if it isn't working out.
It'll probably take him 4 to 5 years to make the majors, so that 4 million is pretty much 1m - 800k a year. He can get much more going to football now. And it's a stretch to think he's gonna get a big money baseball contract one day. That kid ain't no damn Bryce Harper.

Teams are even balking at paying a 26 year old Bryce Harper 30 million a year

When a average qb like cousins is making that

charlie was choosing between basketball and football. once you get drafted in the first round in the NBA you are on an NBA roster. being a first rounder in the MLB just means you gotta a few more years in the minors before you even make it to the show. especially someone like him who hasn't been dedicated to baseball. probably the hardest professional league to make it in.

:usure: None of this changes the fact that a dual threat QB of any SIZE is more prone to being hit once they start running with the ball.

Yes and ? Like I said Doug flutie was dual threat in the famed 90s and he didn’t die

Dudes playing football their whole lives against bigger guys now there suddenly going to die at the next level?

There are rbs who were small and survived getting hit hundreds of times a year

You're clearly convolving my comments to fit your narrative. :heh:

Who mentioned anything about QB's dying? :mjlol:

I'm just stating that dual QB's are more susceptible to hits while you're discussing potential injuries (or lack there of).

Furthermore, I'm a Kyler Muray fan & I believe he'll be a great NFL QB under the right circumstances, but to pretend that a mobile QB won't have more hits per average than a true pocket passer is simply ludicrous.
