Well until Kyrie can do it by himself we'll never know if he can lead a team to success by himself, shyt is a helluva lot easier when you get the best player this era to help you.

Kyrie went from not making the playoffs to two straight finals appearances and one of those he got a ring :dead:

Meaning a DRASTIC change was made to help him, because he needed it.

Kyries playing style as the main guy will never lead to success,he makes no one better.

But y'all can keep thinking him teaming up with Lebron now gives him the edge over guys who he is not better than.

Westbrook
Curry
Cp3
Wall

Are all better than Kyrie and Lillard is right there tied with Kyrie for 5th best PG in the league:manny:

Interesting. Damian Lillard just led the Blazers to a postseason berth. You think his game is conducive to winning and making people around him better, but not Kyrie? Is Kemba Walker more conducive to winning than Kyrie? Isaiah Thomas? What do these winning point guards do to lead a team to the postseason but not Kyrie? Nothing, they just have better supporting casts that are more conducive to their abilities and are more matured than Kyrie was at ages 19-21. Again, Wall was winning nothing at that age.

The Wizards didn't even start winning (just 44 games, at that) until they traded for a very good center in Marcin Gortat, Beal came into his own and Ariza became the starter having a breakout season. And who was the best player for the Wizards that postseason? Bradley Beal. Who turned Joakim Noah into their personal bytch in the first round? Nene. We don't talk about how Wall shot 36% from the field and was the reason they didn't go further because he's not held to the same standards people put on Kyrie for whatever reason.

The excuses y'all coming up with Kyrie are sickening :scust:

Wall had Nene and Gortat and Beal yes he did!

But Kyrie had Anderskn Varejao who averaged a double double.

Kyrie had a lottery pick in Tristan Thompson that averaged a double double

And he had a wing in Waiters that got 15 a night!

Beal not averaging 20 a night,he's around 17 a night

Gortat and Nene aren't Shaq and Hakeem. And actually their numbers were under Thompson and Varejao

Go check, just stating the facts,Kyrie team was not as bad as y'all make it,especially in the trash East

Wall got the job done

Kyrie couldn't.

Simple as that.

He makes no one better :yeshrug:

Kyrie is better scorer and he's effectively the off-guard in Cleveland so talking about being a better PG, Wall. I wish Wall was a little bit better as a shooter so this convo wouldn't be this murky.

Conley doesn't belong in the conversation and at 31 and injury-prone I doubt a Nash-like 30's surge. He is who he is. Like someone said he's been underrated so long he's kind of become overrated.

Mike Conley is 28... ya'll making him out to be much older than he really is

This is how I feel.....

If you asked me to uni want to lead my team or be the best player on my team is say wall

If you ask you'd I rather have next to LeBron I'd say Kyrie

Here's the thing... who do you want with the ball in their hands when the game is on the line?

Wall hasn't made many go-ahead game winning shots... Kyrie it seems is always making shots in the clutch

Varejao was a walking injury playing just 25, 25 and 65 games in Irving's first three years and Thompson had no skillset other than offensive rebounding. Neither are remotely close to the stability Marcin Gortat provided the Wizards as a top ten center that provided value on both ends of the floor. Nene was oft injured himself but on the floor made his presence felt and was a huge plus to that team especially in the '14 postseason.

Dion Waiters clashed with Kyrie like he does everyone else he plays with. They operated in the same manner and could not co-exist. He was not better than Bradley Beal.

You can't say this
He makes no one better :yeshrug:

and then this

Lillard is right there tied with Kyrie for 5th best PG in the league

because Lillard makes people around him much better from the gravity he attracts as an elite shooter. Isaiah Thomas and Kemba Walker make people around them better. Kevin Love makes people around him better. Every good player in this league does that. You're pretty much saying Kyrie puts up empty stats and that's wrong

I think Wall the better player but Kyrie got that mentality that Wall has never shown. Wall don't take over games like he should.

Better than Kyrie being the leader :rudy:

Hey, man...so is Jeff Teague, if that's what we judging by. Who cares? I'm completely FINE with saying Kyrie sucked as a 19, 20 and 21 year-old leader his first three seasons. Oh well.

Y'all have fun with this. I can't respond to this stuff no more. He put up 27-4-4 in the Finals and hit an iconic series-winner. John Wall's defining moment has been...what?

Jumping over the wizards mascot in the dunk contest?

taking it behind his back over and over and over again for that same wack layup?

John Wall is a CLASSIC Fat Lever Disciple. He's gonna go down as a mere footnote in a great era of point guards...like Fat Lever.

Enjoy that.

nikka Kyrie would've been home this year and last year if it wasn't for LEBRON JAMES are you serious????

Kyrie right now couldn't lead a team to the playoffs as top dog.

Lebron ain't shoot for him. You mad and ranting because Wall gonna go out like the afterthought he always was.

You so gleeful to hype Wall as the LEADER and best player on a middling team. Has it even occured to you that that's the problem with his career?

That guy needs to be THE THIRD BEST PLAYER on a team if he's ever gonna come close to a title.

Now you howling at the moon whining about Kyrie having Bron after partying for 3 years when Alonzo Gees and Earl Clarks and Casspis were starting at SF.
