Bruh, the cost of living in NYC has outpaced salaries for a minute now, it's why so many 30 something high paid individuals have roomates.





NYC is boring as fukk after you've been there a while, sometimes a slower pace is better. Nevermind the city looks like absolute shyt

I'm done with the city after about a week whenever I go back.

You have to understand that some people can do the same shyt over and over again and not get tired of it.

Some of my old friends are still going to and doing the same shyt today as they were shortly after graduation

No, demand does that. Even when I lived in Chicago and was searching for an apartment, you had folks offering more cash up front (6 months rent) and to pay 100-200 more per month for rent, why? Because they had the money and the demand was high thus they went above and beyond to secure their spot. This arbitrary $1000 cutoff of yours is crazy. Lastly, no on is entitled to their own place, if $1000 is your budget either get a roommate, rent a room in a house, or live in a less desireable area (not necessarily crime ridden, but an area that's further out). People are moving back into cities and closer to jobs, rents are going up all over the country, get used to it or move to the burbs.

Hold up you cant compare the sheer amount of jobs/opportunites to a place like NY/LA trust me I've lived in both and like most said ATL is small as hell and surrounding ATL marietta/alpharetta/decatur its not very many places to work there. I had it sweet there but I wasnt gonna advance my career staying in the south let alone anywhere outside of ATL/Charlotte. So yea I pay a hell of alot more in rent but my career has advanced by me moving to LA and SF. Its all relative look at all those tech jobs you think you can attract talent to work for your company in flucking North dakota or wisconsin of course not so people run to these big cities for a percieved better life/opportunity/career/woman etc. I think $15 is about right for cali for an entry level job.
