but what if the psycho doesn't care about his freedom? he might lose his freedom, but you might lose your life...all this because you wanted to verbally style on a psycho. If I'm arguing, I expect someone to argue back, not assault me because he felt like it.If he steps over that boundary, I can and will call the police. If you think law enforcement is fragile, well, the freedom of one lone psycho who goes around throwing haymakers over words is even more fragile

the police is the strongest gang in the street. What's fragile is the safety they're able to provide in the real world. sure, in theory they should protect you. but what if they arrest him and then he walks on a technicality? what if he manages to restrain you before you have time to dial 911? what if they don't get to you in time? but for some reason, you take it for granted that they will protect you and this helps you get brave. Be honest with yourself, would you be as brave if you weren't so sure the police could protect you? would your mouth be as smart? Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying you should live in fear and be scared to speak up or stand for what you believe in. but at the same time, maybe we should all have a little taste of some humble pie from time to time. Because when you really think about it, nothing is 100% guaranteed (especially not your safety).

... just so I could be justified in blacking the fuk out and pushing your wig back.
