So in your mind...having even a $100 ring shows that a man values you more than if he just said "let's get married" with no ring.

So it's only a logical step that if $100 ring > more love than No Ring, then....

$500 ring > more love than a $100 ring.

etc....

Therefore...money spent = more love.

How are you not seeing this connection based on your comment?

Maybe I'm just young and ignorant to the ways of the world but why is that? Social standing? It's not real unless the government says so? You gonna frame them on the wall next to your certs?

Unless you have ypur own state where you want the redefine the laws of marriage then you can go there are legal ramifications for leaving marriage and not to mention the impact that it has on children if a parent leaves. The court system protects people against that. A man that wants to marry you truly won't have an issue with that. A man that doesn't will find every excuse in the book.

I would like a ring (it doesn't have to be the most expensive, I do want it to look nice though), a very small wedding with only me & him. & a reception/dinner/bbq or something like that with close friends & family before our honeymoon.
I don't plan on marrying a broke man or being broke myself when I am ready to get married. He should be able to afford a ring.

70% of divorce means nothing without knowing the reason behind it. If I am getting abused I will divorce my husbamd/if he is cheating on me i will divorce my husbamd/if he is abusing my kids I will divorce my husband/if he has killed someone or cam kill me or my kids I will dibivorce my husband and get a restraining order.
