And they have Minnesota’s first round pick. They currently have the second worst record in the league.
That pick is top-3 protected, so the Timberwolves end up with too ugly a record and those lottery balls fall right then Golden State won't get the pick at all.

Considering the timeline they're on with Steph/Klay/Dray, if I were them I'd wait until Minny was at a point where it looked like GS would get the pick (say when Minny just had the 4th or 5th worst record in the league) and then trade it for an asset that pays off next season when they have a real shot at a ring. Otherwise they could end up not even getting to use the pick this year, then settling for a mid-range pick next year, and get someone who doesn't even help the team long-term or short-term.

@JACK! , @Hersh , @steph_harden , you see what I was telling you about Bron?

He clearly doesn't have that extra gear that he used to have. They tried to make him play 38 minutes tonight and he just didn't have it by the 4th. This is why I think he's not over KD anymore.
Tbf he had some games like this early in the regular season last year. He looked like he was coasting in the beginning of this game and couldn't turn it on later in the game. People had these same reservations about his motor before the playoffs last season and we saw he still had the motor to produce classic performances.

Only took KD 13 years and a few offensive juggernaut teammates to finally pass up FatherBron:wow:

Looked slow as hell. But I also think he’s still pacing himself...actually came into the season out of shape and still not playing that hard.

Imma wait 30 games in to see what’s really good here. But he looked old out there today for sure...

Those January losses lead to 5 finals L's the last ten years. 11,14,15,17 and 18.

:wow:
So in other words, 9 Finals appearances in the last 10 years with 4 titles. If he wins this year he'll have outperformed Magic's run on the 1980s Lakers, which everyone considers one of the top-3 most dominant dynasties of all time, and he'll have done it with more Finals MVPs and weaker squads most years.

Must burn your soul that you have to hate on that. :ld:

The pick is unprotected in 2022 in the same draft as Emoni Bates

Straight from Flatbush
Bron was 10-1 career versus Wiggins before tonight on 25-7-9 averages. Don't confuse "clamps" with "coasting".

Y'all been getting your hopes up in January losses for almost ten straight years now. :wow:
I’m not talking about record I’m taking about how much Wigs avg against Bron.. go look it up.. Bron got the clamps put on him down the strength by wigs

He is definitely a better GM than Magic. If Magic was able to get Hakeem traded to the Lakers in the late 80's he would have a couple more rings.

:ohhh:

This what happens when you coast when you up
Many teams are guilty of this, not sweating it. Lakers still winning chip this year again.
