LMA is a HoF’er, 7x All-Star and 5x All-NBA that’s enough. He’s also a top 5 Blazer (Walton, Drexler, Lillard, Aldridge, Cliff Robinson).

Bro was like an F-150 out there, one of the gods of the post, footwork, and midrange.

It’s sad dudes clowned his relative immobility for years when he was a older, big guy with a heart issue that was a lot worse than we thought. I wanted him to reunite with Dame in Portland but he went the Brooklyn route. In his games in Brooklyn he was nice and it was ridiculous people thought a guy with his floor spacing, post game, and passing couldn’t help them.

He’s definitely a memorable player of our time and will go underappreciated because of his sleepy, low key persona, small market career, and of course never winning a title.

He made a good decision. He is set for life with the kind of money he earned. No need to risk it. We've seen enough in professional sports where athletes don't listen to recommendations and continue doing their job...

Salute to LA, health is more important and he’s made his money so he had to do it. I had an irregular heart beat and had to have a cardioversion to fix it. It’s a somewhat intimidating procedure and you’re twice as likely to have an irregular heartbeat again even after fixing it.

For anyone saying he shouldn’t have retired - when your heart beat is irregular, you’re more likely to form blood clots which can ultimately lead to having a stroke. Factor in the constant flying and high intensity performance, it’s too risky. I had my procedure in 2018 and I still have episodes if I’m not sleeping enough, anxious or drinking too much.

All facts

A cheap championship ring is not worth that kind of risk, easy decision.
