I learned a while back that this traveler (whose name escapes me but, I think the guy was Middle Eastern) from back in the day (I'm talking 1000s) took note in the different lands he traveled (there were many) how each ethnic group/tribe hated each other but, had all these crazy beliefs/myths of each others sexual prowess, genitalia and wanted to try them out.

So, it sounds like to me that racial/ethnic/tribal fetish is possibly nothing new.

I admit plenty of things Black men do and only yesterday criticized black men for being too influenced by hip hop and rap. I don't think Black men criticize Latina women. Are there black men like Latinas? Yes, but black men as a whole don't have some unnatural and fantastical obsession with Latinas. Black men also don't "fetishize" light skin women; some just think light skin women are more attractive for that trait.
