I definitely want Elden Ring. But I’m a little worried by the snippets shown. After Bloodbourne and Sekiro this feels like Darksouls 4ish. I love the souls format and always interested in how they make it feel new and fresh in someway. Right now you would easily tell me this was a DLC than a new game.

I liked sekiro but it was limited in comparison to the souls games. Didn’t have much choice in weapons or playstyle, so the combat got repetitive over the course of the game.

Part of the appeal in souls games is the variety play styles and strategies. I hope Elden ring more like the souls games than a more focused action game like sekiro

Definitely hyped for a new FromSoftware game. But I hope this is really just alpha footage to explain some of the reused assets and animations. At this point I',m not really interested in Dark Souls kind of dodge roll type gameplay. I would prefer something that takes a slightly new direction in the vein of Sekiro or even Bloodborne.
