This is okay, but its the era where Em had a pretty sharp fall off. He was taking drugs every day, so Dre would have had to veto this missile launch.

As far as the pop star debate? Yeah theres lots of Hip Hop artists that double as Pop stars. I'm not a music snob, pop music is fine with me if its done well. I mean some of Em's straight up pop rap joints were bad but some were cool (My Name Is, Lose Yourself etc).

Did they make records with cross over appeal? Sure, labels wanted to sell records but the albums themselves were true rap records.
