Not really, TRB % is pretty similar given their size discrepancy and Lebron's AST % is only marginally better

The Fukk?

Lebron averages a 34.2% AST and a 12.2% TOV where as Kobe averages a 24.3% AST with and 11.6%TOV.

That isn't marginal in the slightest. That's pretty sizable actually. Rebounding, sure, but Lebron is still better so he still gets the nod.

I mean, do we really need to discuss metrics? Lebron stomps Kobe in most if those too.

Why is LeBron's best season not as good as Larry Bird's career average?:ohhh:

I don't know:ohhh:

What could it be?:lupe:

Let's see how the posts are moved now:popcorn:

How does Lebron compare with MJ? His assists , rebounds and FG% stomps all over Jordan's too? Does that make him better than Jordan?

Why does LeBron average more shots per game than Kobe for his career if he's the more unselfish player?

What's the difference in Kobe shooting 19 times per game for his career for 25 points and LeBron shooting 20 times per game for his career for 27 points? 1 shot attempt:manny:

Honestly, who cares? I like Kobe more. Shouldn't that be enough?

Not when speaking on objective things such as numbers or who is better etc. There are players I like more than Kobe but their aren't too many that I can honestly say are better or even on his level. Beyond that, things would be much simpler if people just laid that out and kept it 100% like you do instead of moving the ends of the earth to try to spin shyt.

You're the one trying to make a thread like they both aren't great and that it doesn't come down to preference. There are arguments both ways but I prefer Kobe. I think a reasonable person would say they are equal in what they bring to a team but it depends on the other guys on the roster.

Why is LeBron's best season not as good as Larry Bird's career average?:ohhh:

Because Larry Bird is one of the GOATs? But the Pace in the 80s was also quite a bit faster with a lot more emphasis put on crashing boards plus teams as a whole were less efficient.

Larry Bird is one of the most perfect offensive players ever though. He could pass, shoot, finish, etc.

Look, when you have a guy who says that he actively protects his fg% so that it will look more prettily efficient to box score watchers don't come to me with that he does this better shyt.

To do that, you have to still score a bunch of shots and make a bunch of shots. You're just saying Lebron could score more of he didn't care.

:rudy: If you want to compare both Kobe & Bron career, lets just use Kobe's stats as a starter instead:

Lebron's efficiency (his calling card) drops significantly in the playoffs while Kobe stays the same, on average. So no, not really. Let's not even get into the team quality of the teams they faced in thee playoffs, either.

Equal?

Scoring? Go either way.

Passing / Playmaking: Lebron

Rebounding: Lebron

Defense: Kobe was a great on-ball defender and could lock someone down but he's always been shaky off the ball and he loses track of his man a LOT. Lebron is more disciplined, a better help defender, better at rotations, and more versatile but is liable to coast at times.

I think Kobe is great but a better basketball talent than Lebron?

Scoring goes to Kobe. Rebounding is a push. I think defense is a push. Passing is Lebron. Playoff performer is Kobe.

:yeshrug: Bron is the more complete player, if he keeps it up he could and probably will officially pass up Kobe. :mjpls: Bron should since he is playing in a weaker era with no worth wild big man to be worried about and in the small ball era, which plays to Bron's advantages.

Because Kobe has two damn seasons during his rookie and sophomore year where he barely played which drastically drag his FGA down over his career.

Same reason why Lebron averaged MORE PPG than Kobe over their career averages.
