LeBron James and Anthony Davis have expressed growing concern that the Lakers roster is not good enough and feel like changes need to be made

Kessler, Sexton, Bruce Brown firmly places them at 2nd or 3rd in the West.. they have the assets for it

Just need to trade Rui and remove protections on the 1st round picks

Which yet again is always the issue. Rob hasn’t made moves for years now. He doesn’t want to get of the assets he does have and is frankly lucky that DLO didn’t walk for nothing
And thats the issue with the Lakers. They want it both ways. They want to hoard their assets for post Bron life.....but fielding a Lebron led team is indicating you're in win now mode.

you don’t watch the games and it shows. He plays with the 2nd unit and is typically the only starter and asked to carry the horrific bench unit
Theres no excuse for your "2nd best player" having the WORST plus minus on a team while that same team performs BETTER when he's off the court.
Reaves and DLO were routinely hunted on defense, and Rui and Dalton were just as bad (Dalton probably worse)

I was speaking on effort, not ability. Lebron doesn't even give effort on defense and it costs the team. Yet you can still somehow find him throwing his hands up in disgust when anyone else has a defensive lapse or gets scored on.

There is no issue. They already traded plenty of assets for Bron, after the Russ thing not working out there's no reason for them to keep giving up assets.

Jeanie is just keeping Bron around for entertainment purposes. She's not trying to win now. Rob probably figures he'll get a chance to run the team post-Bron so he's preparing himself for that.

He doesn't rotate, box out and barely contests shots. The worst part is he has the gall to point the finger at teammates when he thinks they messed up. Lakers are better off without him.

Oh i know all this. But do Lebron and AD? They seemingly wouldnt be bytching if the Lakers were straight up saying "ngl, yall are washed and we looking to the future" :manny: . But the Lakers mgmt are tryna play both sides of this. And the funny thing is, Lebron would still stick around knowing hes only there to sell tickets. He loves LA, it guarantees his son stays employed and no other team is gonna wreck their youth movements to satiate him. Sixers are the only team I could see taking a chance on him to try and salvage the Embiid disaster.

You don’t watch the games.. LeBron def has issues there’s no doubt about that.

His issues on defense are closing out on perimeter players and he’s pretty bad in transition. The thing with him tho is that he is still pretty damn good on ball defense, and in the post. The entire Lakers have an issue in transition tho, not just Lebron

Overall he’s an average to below average defender on a game to game basis. But in high leverage situations he turns into a good defender

You know I remember it well when KG/Pierce understood that time had pretty much ran out and they were good on the C's fleecing Brooklyn which ultimately led to us being able to draft Tatum and Brown and set up the next title wave and both Pierce/KG are considered Boston legends and welcomed back with open arms.

All that is to say.... LeBron and AD won't be doing the same for the Lakers :mjlol:
