It should be considered the incredible financial implications of LeBron having a media empire at the same time as owning a team. The deals he could potentially broker are mind boggling.

That'd be dope, it's cool seeing former players (even more when they had a great reign during their career) take ownership even if that team is trash. He's thinking way ahead I don't see this coming anytime soon, he's not even close to retirement.

All power to him I think he retires in a few years. With his other investments and business partners he could buy a team in the 2030's.

He doesn't have to buy the entire team just but a majority amount.

Not to sound like a hater I think he will get injured this finals similar to the Kobe Injury and it will make him miss major time hopefully not but people keep saying to look at the minutes he's playing, the speed, and extertxion on his body.

Trump...and it gives me zero pleasure saying that orange faced midget won Ohio when Obama won it in 2012.

Now with that said, LeBron was just trying to help a sinking ship.

MJ money way longer than lebron + he bought when the market was different.

the cavs are currently valued at 1.2 billion. The clippers were valued at that and sold for 2 billion.

Dan bought it for $375 million and they generate $225 million revenue a year(that we know of, since they wont open the books. Real revenue probably closer to $300+ million) . why would you sell anything generating you that much money per year :heh:

you guys arent thinking logically in here at all
The Cavs value will drop once LeBron retires. LeBron James is the franchise.

LeBron does not have a billion now but he'll play until he's 40, he has his money invested in many businesses, he has a lot more money to make in NBA contracts and endorsements as well. LeBron has tried his hand at acting and will only get more roles they're saying he'll do Space Jam 2, he has his own media production company and a sports agency that has players like Ben Simmons, J.R. Smith, Tristan Thompson, John Wall signed. The company is in his friend Rich Paul's name who is the agent, but LeAgent is seeing money out of all of them contracts. He also owns a small minority stake in Liverpool FC. His lifetime Nike deal is worth over a billion and there's already been talks of LeBron retros with his first model released in limited quantities. His money will be LONG by the time he's 45, and he should have enough to buy at least a majority stake of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Obviously, he can be a minority owner if he chooses. In terms of full or majority ownership, it will be tougher.

He doesn't have nearly as much shoe money coming in as MJ, so he will have to make some great business moves.

I think he can do it, but the franchise values are so high at this point, it's tough to visualize.
