He would literally call you out in practice in front of everyone. He demanded you give macimum effort and do your job just as much effort as he gave.

I don't think the issues with the Lakers are a problem of effort.
It's a problem of cohesiveness and system.

"Turning it on" isn't going to make them much more of a contender. Sure, they could reach the playoffs, but there are fundamental issues that need to be resolved.

Fact of the matter is that every young player has gotten worse with him on the team. He came saying he was going to teach them how to win, but already put them on the trade block a lil over a quarter over the season...

Fact of the matter is every young player has just been exposed that maybe they ain’t that dude we think they are. You can’t teach no one that ain’t trynna learn. And if you can’t learn, you gots to go.

The moment he signed to this team the fan base went from “oh they just need to be patient they’re 2-5 years away from being GOOD” to “they need to win championship today and for the next 4 years”
