This dumbass logic again?

How is it dumb logic? Larry Bird went to 4 straight NBA finals against MUCH TOUGHER competition than Lebron has EVER faced in his career.

Larry Bird came within a mchale broken foot in 87, and Len Bias dying in 86 from winning atleast 2-3 more rings.

Bird won 3 straight MVPs competing with the likes of Kareem, MJ, Magic, Chuck, DR J, Moses etc... Lebron's only competition is KD. What Bird did in his era TO ME is farrr more impressive then what Lebron is doing today.

Ya they weren't prime, but they weren't garbage players either. First year of Barkley and Drexler was a pretty good team, just couldn't beat Utah. But you really putting Hakeem in your top 5? He didn't have the greatest teams around him, Sampson getting hurt killed his chances early. But I still can't put him top 5.

Hakeem is top 10 in my book, and i give them a pass for not winning with barkley and pip. Had those guys been 27 joining up they would've won every year easily.

With much better teams as well. It's not like he was running with scrubs. He'd have 2-3 more rings if his ATG PF hadn't got hurt and if his 2nd pick in the draft following a championship season stud hadn't ODed. :dead: Really ya think? :mindblown: And nikkas give Bron crap for playing with stacked rosters and needing stars around him. :heh: If Bird did all that with the likes of Mo Williams and Anderson Varajeo then we can talk.

If we are just gonna ignore context and reality for that matter you can say that Bron won 4 MVPs in 5 years competing against the likes of Shaq, KG, Duncan, Kobe, Wade, KD.

In Dallas, From Cleveland
I'd say from 1980-present, if he gets a ring this year I would put him in the top 5.

I know my basketball history, but I don't feel comfortable judging players that I didn't see play so that's why I omit Wilt, Russell, Oscar Robertson, etc....

1. Jordan
2. Magic
3. Duncan
4. Kobe
5. LeBron

Shaq would be the 6th, most dominant big of this generation. But you couldn't just go to him late in the game because of free throws...

I put Kobe over LeBron because Kobe just had that mentality similar to MJ, that Killer Instinct, give the ball and I'm gonna win this for us attitude that LeBron still doesn't quite have. He has gotten a lot better, but he has gotten alot help by having Ray Allen, Dwayne Wade, Bosh come through in clutch situations.... And if Kobe had that kind of supporting cast he would have won 3 instead of 2....

But LeBron's versatility HAS to be respected, I can't think of any other player that can score via 3s, mid range jumpers, drives, post ups, rebound well, excellent passing for his position, defend one on one, get help side blocks, steals in passing lanes, etc the way LeBron does.... He is a special player in that regard

Top 5 of All Time? NO....

Top 5 of this Generation? Yeah :ehh:

It will be interesting to see how He plays against the Spurs because I didn't think he was truly great against the Spurs last Finals....

And if the Spurs win a ring this year I might have to give Tony Parker his spot :troll:

1. MJ
2. Duncan
3. Shaq
4. Kobe
5. Magic

In a couple years we'll see where Lebron, KD, etc fit in.

bron does not have bird's iq and bron and these heat would not have beat the best celtic's team.
bron and the heat would not have beat the badboys, bulls first repeat doberman defense team.
nor, the 69-13 sixers, or the laker 69-13, either.
i am huge on bron, but i saw the celt's and bird in person in the off's twice.
after mike went for 63, and then again the next year when the bulls got bounced by the celt's.

bron, is good in the low bball iq era, but in the old high iq nba.
bron would have gotten exposed, by better solid teams.
that bird and the celt's had a mental and execution edge on, to own the whole league.

magic need:

kareem
worthy: worthy was the difference maker, but i don't see the heat beating the celts.
plus, they have no interior d.

if len bias lived, i really don't see anyone beating the celt's in the eighties.
as len bias was the goat jordan's only actual equal.
bias could have been as good.
argueably better and had a MUCH higher bball iq than bron, too.
plus, he could kill a zone, where bron has had historical issues with zones.
bias owned the zone, and so did BIRD.

celt's would have had a whip

dj
bias
bird
mchale
chief

i don't know if i can say bron was better at sf, than:

connie hawkins
dr j

no way, bron is the best sf of all time.
you could use the rings arguement, but real talk, as a skilled ball player.
bron is not better than hawkins, or dr j.

art barr
Hawkins and Irving? :russ:

You saying the Heat couldn't beat a team that placed over 25 years ago...who gives a fukk? :russ:

Get the fukk outta here and go back to the booth. You not even using your spell check.
