MJ

Hakeem
Kobe
Shaq
Duncan
Bird/Bron

He might be able to move up that list because of his accomplishments, but I'd have a hard time picking him over any of those players to start a franchise with.

Maybe over Kobe because Bron is really like a 6'9 Jason Kidd out there. He's instant team chemistry.Individually, I think Kobe is better.I think Kobe did a better job at taking his God given talent and forging it into something more.Kobe's a fukking technician out there. You can just tell he's a gym rat to crazy psychotic/ obsessive levels. He had that mentality where he wanted to devastate you.

You replace him with Bron in Miami's Big 3 and they're going for their 4th straight title this year. They don't lose to Dallas in 2011

you cant have 2 rings and be top 5.

Kareem - 6
MJ- 6
Duncan - 4
Kobe - 5
Shaq - 4
Magic - 5

LeBron - 2

That doesn't really account for team talent. Players can easily get put in a spot where they got no chance at winning 6 rings because their teams just aren't good enough.

But in a way it will effect everyone's views. If Hakeem had won one or two more and gone through Jordan, he would prob be considered top 5. Say the Rockets had 1 more good player on the team that lost to the Jazz in the WCF or went to the finals in his younger days. He's in my top 15 instead now, maybe top 10.

how is a top 5 player of all time have only 2 rings? you can argue if he stays with the heat this might be his last shot to win a ring in his career in his prime....hes lucky he aint lose last year too....and he has a good chance of losing this year too...so what is making him easily better than all these other greats?

It is when you realize that Lebron has two rings ad the unquestioned man, same as Kobe, plus 4 MVPs. You gonna argue that Pippen is top 10? He got 6 rings and he's a great player.

There is no way Kobe's better than Lebron. Lebron has been scoring Kive-esque numbers on higher efficiency since his sophomore year in the league.

You put Kobe on the Heat and you instantly lose Lebron's passing, playmaking, top-tier defense, efficiency, and insane rebounding for similar levels of scoring. It's why Wade and Bosh get injured and Lebron is able to fill in the most important gaps needed.

You can't just plug random players into the Heat, off of name alone, and think everything is great. Lebron has elite perimeter and big man impact that most players simply can't replicate. Kobe is a versatile scorer but that teams loses size, defensive versatility, rebounding, efficiency, inside presence, playmaking, passing, etc.

How is it dumb logic? Larry Bird went to 4 straight NBA finals against MUCH TOUGHER competition than Lebron has EVER faced in his career.

Larry Bird came within a mchale broken foot in 87, and Len Bias dying in 86 from winning atleast 2-3 more rings.

Bird won 3 straight MVPs competing with the likes of Kareem, MJ, Magic, Chuck, DR J, Moses etc... Lebron's only competition is KD. What Bird did in his era TO ME is farrr more impressive then what Lebron is doing today.
Then that right there should tell you why the ring argument is dumb. Its a number of factors that go into winning a championship. Is Larry a worse player because his team didn't win a ring in those years? If his team had won would he have been a better player? That answer is obviously no to both. This isn't a one a one league. Championships are a team accomplishment.

pau and manu are HOFs....wade wouldnt be healthy enough to compete if he didnt have lebron to carry the team during the season. ray allen is the 2nd oldest player in the league.

miami has won back to back titles with the smallest frontline in the league. how do you think thats possible ? what other great players win without stars
?? :what:

Wade is the 3rd best shooting guard to ever play the game of basketball.

Pau Gasol isn't even the 20th best power forward all time.

See the difference there.

I don't even know why I responded to you. Either you're a moron for not seeing the difference or you're a Heat stan playing stupid.

Bron is certainly dominant and by far the best player of this era, but we gotta wait and see how it plays out still. I gotta see some rules being changed because of him or something that signifies how he changed the game. When it's all said and done, there's a good chance he breaks all the tangible records, but until then, lets just say he's on an incredible pace and could someday be top 5, top 3 or even the greatest player ever. Definitely enjoying the show though.
