The problem there is that the Heat have been better against the West this year than they have the East, they're 16-9 vs the East and 15-5 vs the West. I know that the people voting wont really go in depth with that type of thing, but if they did they'd see Bron's numbers are pretty much the same vs the West.
Thunder play Western playoff-caliber teams more often. I don't think the voters would personally (to a degree) delve into those type of stats, but they would have knowledge/access of them. They're plastered just about everywhere you look now and they would no doubt use them in weighing up consideration.

If you are 13-14, how do you not keep shooting to try and score 100? :why:

Wade and Bron are also notorious stat whores who don't like to overshoot (pause). It's not like they're out there more concerned for stats than anything else, but they are very conscious of their shooting percentages.

Remember they played Charlotte off a back-to-back. They were just going half speed the whole game. I watched the game live and it was barely noticeable what LeBron was doing. If the Heat wanted to, they could've blown them out of the building but they took it easy.

appreciate the man's greatness, you ungrateful c*nts

you'll see plenty of other ballhogs come in and put up 30 points on 10-27 shooting nightly

but you'll never this blend of size, power, speed, athleticism, agility, accuracy, efficiency, skills and basketball IQ ever again

Just like this whole FG% between Durant and LeBron.

x person might side with LeBron because he has higher FG%

y person will suggest that he only has a higher % because he's mindful of where he takes his shots, therefore Durant's -3/4% is better because his shots require more risk/skill. And are a more true reflection of actual FG%.

x person will suggest LeBron takes the more probable shot and is still productive enough to be selective with his shot - 'Miami has a high offensive rating' (and doesn't effect the effectiveness of his team's performance) that he can cater to his own personal needs without putting the team's in jeopardy.

I mean I know folk probably aren't having the exact conversation(s), but these types of conversations are being made. Hypos, strength of schedule, personnel, efg%, true%, situations, schedule, points on/off court, win totals etc etc. All those stat geeks' data and like-talk have been making there way into mainstream media (some even a part of) for a minute now. Panelists are bound to weigh them into consideration, even if they only play a minute part in their end decision.

Here's how the panel of USA TODAY Sports' Adi Joseph, Kevin Spain and Jeff Zillgitt; Hoopsworld.com's Steve Kyler and Lang Greene; and the Detroit Free Press' Vince Ellis viewed the MVP race this week (points on a 7-5-3-2-1 scale):

LeBron James, Miami Heat: 4 first-place votes, 38 points
Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City Thunder: 2 first-place votes, 34 points
Chris Paul, Los Angeles Clippers: 11 points
Carmelo Anthony, New York Knicks: 10 points
Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers: 7 points

Shows that folk do believe KD is very much in the conversation.

You really can't be having orgasms over his fg% with a shot chart like that. :aicmon:

Now matter what Lebron does these fakkits try to shyt on him.

Only reason he's good is because he's athletic :troll:
But all his shots were from inside :damn:
But but but durant has a better three point shot :dwillhuh:
Its not fair because he's concious of his field goal percentage :sadcam:

Meanwhile sub .500 Kobe gets a couple 14 assist games and they call him the GOAT. Yall some hoe ass nikkas for real. :shaq2:
