His peers have tapped Kobe as better because a)all his peers are either younger than Kobe and grew up on Kobe's era as fans of Bean the same way all of us who didn't make the NBA did, and b)his peers were slightly older than LeBron and played more of their careers in Kobe's prime than they did in LeBron's prime...

It's hard to take emotional bias out of questions like this, and its asinine to believe guys who've played have no emotional bias regarding topics such as this...

If you ever played basketball you would know why the players who PLAYED AGAINST both Kobe and LeBron almost always favor Kobe. It has nothing to do with age. It has to do with their styles of play. Kobe's style was simply more demoralizing. Just think of how the players talk about him versus LeBron. With Bron its always about his physical tools and mind. With Kobe they always mention his killer instinct and how he emotionally destroys his opponent.

A guy hitting the shots you want him to take is far more demoralizing than a guy who just happens to find the weakness in your defense and scores. You can gameplan against the second type of player. You can't gameplan against the first.

Excuse me for having high standards.

Skill and athleticism both matter. A player who is elite in both areas will always be superior to one who is elite in only one area.
It’s not high standards, it’s the fact that’s your only standard is for every player to be a hybrid of Tracy McGrady ... too bad he was getting fukked up in the 1st round always :russ:

That's the thing, LBJ can't get timely buckets the way other greats can
Have you been drunk since 2005? :gucci:

LBJ literally has the most playoff game-winners in NBA history. The most buzzer-beaters in NBA history. The greatest Game 7 scoring average in NBA history. The greatest elimination game scoring average in NBA history. Has the "final 25 points" game against the Pistons, scoring the final 10 points against the Bulls, a bunch of games he took over down the stretch against the Celtics, masterfully closing out the Spurs in Game 7 of the Finals, scoring 8 of the final 11 points in Game 7 against the Warriors in the Finals, and more clutch-dominating games in the 2018 postseason than you can count....but you think he can't get timely buckets.

Name ONE player other than MJ who has a record of getting timely playoff buckets that even close to compares to LBJ, much less surpasses it. :heh:

The yr Iggy won FMVP, LBJ was putrid outside the paint. A perimeter superstar should be a threat from every spot of the court.
His back was injured that year and then on top of that Kyrie and Love got hurt so everything fell on him and he was fatigued as hell for the entire playoffs. That was his worst shooting year the ENTIRE season. 30% from three in the regular season and 23% in the playoffs, he was OBVIOUSLY hurting out there.

And yet still hit when it mattered. :dead:

Now, why'd you JUST single out 2015, when he was hurt and on a fukked-up squad, and leave out every other year? :heh:

2013 playoffs: 43% from 16-23 and 38% from 3pt
2014 playoffs: 42% from 16-23 and 41% from 3pt
2016 playoffs: 46% from 16-23 and 34% from 3pt
2017 playoffs: 49% from 16-23 and 41% from 3pt
2018 playoffs: 46% from 16-23 and 34% from 3pt

Overall about 45-46% on long twos and 37-38% on threes over five postseasons. Those are FANTASTIC numbers dawg. Your argument is deaded.

Its funny when average cats try and call something a pro does weak. My dad is a Braves fan but he HATES Tom Glavine. If Glavine was pitching i was not going to watch the game with him, period. He would complain all day about how Glavine was tossing that slow shyt to the plate and he would rock him. All game, he shytting on Glavine. Like come on, the pro hitters cant hit this dude but you, sitting on the couch, you can step up and rock him right off the rip? :stopitslime:

I watched LBJ statpad when the game was out of hand so many times in the finals. Accumulating stats is a tool for those stans who don't have context behind the #s.
I just gotta hit this again because it is SO bad.

2006 1st round: Averages 36-8-6 and only NBA player ever to hit multiple game-winners in his first-ever playoff series.

2007 ECF: Scores 45-5-6 including 29 of the final 30 points in the pivotal Game 5 on Detroit's home court, driving and dunking to send the game into overtime and then hitting a layup while quadruple-covered for the game-winner in double overtime.

2008 ECSF: Extremely outmatched against a fantastic Celtics team, scores 35, 32, and 45 in the final three games, only going down late in Game 7 in an epic duel with Paul Pierce. He also hit 7 game-winning or game-tying shots that season.

2009 ECF: Averaged 39-8-8 against the Magic, hitting a game-winner in Game 2 and nearly hitting back-to-back threes in overtime to win Game 4.

2011 ECSF: Down to the Celtics late in Game 4, LBJ scores 10 of the last 12 including the last 7 to send the game into overtime, then hits the go-ahead basket in overtime. With the score tied and 2 minutes left in Game 5, LBJ scores the final 10 points of the game to put the Celtics away.

2011 ECF: Hits huge shots all series long including the go-ahead basket in Game 2, Game 4, AND Game 5. Down 8 with just 2 minutes left in Game 5, he scores 8 points in 90 seconds (all on long jumpers) to drive a game-winning and series-ending 12-2 run.

2012 ECSF: Down 2-1 to the Pacers and with Bosh out and Wade dealing with a bum knee, LeBron goes off for 40-18-9 in Game 4 to even the series and resurrect Miami's season.

2012 ECF: Down 3-2 to the Celtics and with Bosh at 50%, LeBron goes off for 45-15-5 in Boston to pull their hearts out and then takes them out in Game 7.

2013 ECF: Down with 2.2 to play and in danger of going down 1-0 to the Pacers on his own home floor, fakes out PG13 to catch the ball and get from the 3pt line to the hoop in just 2 seconds.

2013 Finals: Down 3-2 to the Spurs and down 5 with 22 seconds left, LeBron hits the three that starts the rally, then hits the go-ahead shot with 1:43 left in overtime. Follows it with a 37-12-5 performance to win Game 7 despite only two teammates scoring in double figures, scoring 9 in the fourth including the clinching jumper with 28 seconds left in the game.

2015 ECSF: Down 2-1 already, calls his own number to rip out the Bulls' heart and even the series.

2016 Finals: Comes back from 3-1 down against a 73-win team with two of the most incredible back-to-back-to-back performances in Finals history (41-16-7 and 41-8-11) and then scores 9 of the Cavs' last 12 points in Game 7 to win the series.

2018 entire playoffs: With a terrible supporting cast and down 6 times (1-0, 2-1, and 3-2 to Pacers and 1-0, 2-0 and 3-2 to Celtics) has nine 40+ games, two game-winners, and two huge gritty Game 7 wins to reach the Finals where he puts up 51 on the heavily favored Warriors before George and J.R. cost them the game.

But remember, LeBron can't get timely buckets. :mjlol:

Great fake stat dumbass, this isn't 2010 anymore. :mjlol::mjlol::mjlol:

For his career, LBJ is around 39% on long twos and 35% on threes. Those are fine numbers. Look at Kobe or McGrady from 16-23 and 3pt and you got practically the same #'s.

this season he's about 36-37% outside of 3 ft

:mjlol:
And last year he shot 45% from 16-23. In Miami he had wicked numbers outside of 3 feet. So? Why would you cherry pick one slice of hit 35yo year when overall his shooting #'s since 2013 have been fantastic?

whats the sample size?
This year LeBron only took 7% of his shots from 10-16 and 9% from 16-23, because AD was spending a lot of time in that area. So his midrange #'s fell off some from lack of use. But 32% of his shots were threes and he shot a nice 35% from that area.

Somehow the idiot thinks that averaging together a nice 35% 3pt clip on high volume with rarely-taken midrange shots at a decent but not great 39% clip tells you....I don't know.

Yup, the Pistons, Celtics, Bulls, Spurs, Warriors, really a bunch of wack-ass teams.
