He been saying that his entire career. The nikka is 35yrs old. Its an excuse he's been using to not have to address any issue until it no longer matters and he can benefit from it.
Theres absolutely nothing wrong with becoming informed about an issue. Its the bare minimum to even HAVE an opinion on something but that nikka is informed. He just dont want to talk about it unless he can benefit from talking about it. It's interesting seeing how some of these politicians, entertainers, and media personalities are so engaged with this NBA/China situation. I've never seen most of these people come together like this while black folks are slaughtered in our own country. They're freedom fighters when they talk about issues on the other side of the world, but don't show nearly this level of passion when people are being oppressed in their back yard. Im aware of how time works. Im saying that he's been saying the same thing his entire career so the whole "he was young" cant really be used to excuse even young Lebron for that.
