It's funny how some of yall expect bron to publicly take a stand on an extremely controversial issue on which 95% of americans are completely uninformed about. Our own government hasnt condemned the CCP's actions in HK yet you want lebron to? This feels like a media trap for black athletes: they admit they're uninformed about the issue, and then the media jumps all over them for not "supporting democracy". why don't we have that same energy towards our actual government who are the ones responsible for conducting foreign policy? Why should athletes be pressured to speak up on political issues they dont care about instead of actual politicians?

He's not wrong.
The Hong Kong - China problem is not as simple as the "poor Hong Kong-ites" want Democracy and "big bad China is stopping them."
There's layers to this.

There is but at the end of the day China is a totalitarian authoritative regime trying to stomp out democracy in HK. They harvest organs, torture and beat protestors and have the most advanced police state in all of human history. We're well on our way to being china's bytch if we keep having these cacs in office and no one stands up to the human rights abuse China perpetrate. He's not wrong.
