I agree with Bron.. fukk Kobe and Jordan
Now, Peyton can't be mentioned in the same breath as Montana because he only won one SB.I bet you think Marino can't be mentioned in the same breath as Trent fukking Dilfer, either. You know what...
Also if rings aren't everything, why did he go to Miami? Bron's decision to join up with wade and bosh should've put the whole "ring" discussion to bed for good. He knows how important they are or he would've never left
Plus, I can't believe nikkaz still using the Robert Horry argument.
i see this question has been avoided.
rings do matter at the upper echelon top 1%
Here's what I believe and maybe some will agree...
Rings aren't the end-all, be-all when it comes to greatness.
Kareem has as many rings as Jordan AND he actually has more MVP awards. Kareem is also the NBA's all-time leading scorer
However, Jordan has 6 Finals MVP's and Kareem has 2.
The end-all, be-all should be the FINALS MVP awards that came with those rings.
This is why I believe that if Kobe were to win 6 or 7, he wouldn't be better than Jordan because while getting his current 5 rings, he was only the Finals MVP for 2 of them. Shaq has the other 3.
If LeBron were to win 2 more championships and 2 more Finals MVP awards, then (in my eyes), he'd be better than Kobe, hands-down. Rings are one thing but if you're a superstar, they shouldn't count in the argument unless you were the defined leader of that squad. That's just me...
Also, why doesn't Phil Jackson ever come up in the LeBron/Kobe/Jordan debate? ...or at least when discussing Kobe.
LeBron took teams to the Finals with Mike Brown as his coachand won it all with Erik Spoelstra coaching. Any credit for that or nah?

I love when this topic comes up because the people who always put emphasis on rings always will put Jordan over Bron, but once MFs start bringin up Bill Russells 11 rings, those same Jordan supporters start backtrackin, studdering, makin excuses, quantifying and moonwalkin around their own "ring logic" If rings meant everything, why don't we consider Bill russell the greatest of all time?
