:mjlol: @ this shyt. This is why stats can't be what you use alone otherwise you end up with stupid shyt that suggests Westbrook is an elite defender and that hasn't been awful.

Westbrook's rating is elevated due to his fraudulent defensive rebound rate.

This is also why Adams is nowhere to be found here.

The numbers are fine other than the team that is deliberately manipulating stats.

His Warriors stanning has gone into overdrive and now he's taken to posting pathetic machinations trying to diss and downplay a top 2 player of all time. Its like watching a person slip into dementia.
:heh:

You'd know all about this since the same arguments you used FOR those 7SOL Suns squads back on sohh, are the same arguments you use AGAINST this Warriors team. You've been basically arguing against yourself for the last decade - arguing one extreme and then arguing the very opposite - based on the lining of the teams you love/hate. A true sign of mental illness.

:russ: I thought you were a Bron fan. He getting the Harden treatment from you now?

Bron has played exceptional, versatile defense. Draymond is the better rim protector but he can’t guard the perimeter the way Lebron can. You rarely see Draymond guard a team’s best perimeter player.

And smh at accusing him of stat padding like he’s Westbrook or something.
Lol i cant see who u quoted....but i know :russ:

So basically it's a heavily, heavily flawed statistic that takes rebounding into account for defense? That's the point breh, you just named the underlying issue with the statistic and no that doesn't only detract from just Westbrook it detracts from the whole thing as rebounding doesn't mean anything for defense. It's almost an entirely different aspect of the game.

8 out of 9 of his rebounds are defensive rebounds. 9/10.5 last year were defensive rebounds.

Defensive rebounding is a very important part of defense because if you can't secure the ball, then you have to play defense for another 24 seconds.
Defensive rebounding also signals that the team played good enough defense to even get an opportunity for the rebound.

The Thunder as a team are a top 3 defensive team, but since Westbrook is hidden his limitations are marginalized and his impact through rebounding is emphasized. But Steven Adams is the one doing a large portion of this work contesting shots and boxing out while Westbrook is getting all the credit in the stats.

If you flipped where Adams and Westbrook are it would be accurate.

look at the relationship between Harden and LeBron.

:gucci:

If I wanted to put Harden defense in a good light this is certainly not the graph I would use.

Cleveland’s defense was the worst of all time through 10 games or so. The fact that LeBron is still somehow above median is amazing.
