Niqqas in here probably think Derek Harper played with more talent in NY than he did in Dallas because he played in the 90s.

Man please.

The Sonics were a GOOD TEAM. They were not better than the Jazz....so what's your point? What's your point other than overrating rough and tumble shytty ball and 77-71 scores where athletes like Kely Tripuka and Dan Majrele were playing the wing?

The SONICS had 64 WINS that season..... on any AVERAGE season, that's championship caliber expectations. But the Bulls winning 72 was historic... Regardless of what era.

I don't care. Their window was short lived. Great teams had staying power. They were NOT better team than the Jazz based on one season.

Exactly what had if you disprove other than overrating a team based in one season?

You pretty much don't know what the fukk you are talking about.... that's all you are saying. If the topic is about Lebron faced harder teams in the finals.. JUST NAME ONE TEAM that had a better winning record coming into the finals than the SUPERSONICS OF 1996???? With the exception of this finals coming up.... name one! Don't backtrack on some bytch shyt, and say... bu-bu-it's just ONE season... we're talking about FINALS, nikka! You just someone who do not know whut the fukk you're talking about and NOW want to cop pleas and excuses. Sonics ending their season 64-18 IS impeccable and better than ANY team Lebron had faced up until now. So stop with this bullshyt.

OH, and since you want to BRING UP the Jazz..... name ONE TEAM that had a BETTER season than the JAZZ back to back?? This argument about Jordan did not face harder squads is DUMB.

I'm 40. I personally saw the Jazz run from 88 to 98. had me shook to DEATH taking my 80s Lakers to 7 games in the 80s. You're telling me a sonic team with one great run was better than that Jazz team that did it for over a decade?

That's great, but Dan wasn't that great a defensive player and neither was Kelly Tripuka

That 96 sonic team was the better team.. beat that Jazz in conference finals...Sonics had 5 or 6 good seasons...not just one good run...probably would been better longer if Kemp didn't get coked up...

And you could say those jazz teams were under achievers...they only won after all the old west stars got flabby..

They were not better than the Jazz who made it to the finals twice to face the Bulls.

You're proving my point about the 90s. Those good teams then didn't play together long enough to become great. The Jazz weren't more talented than the sonics...it was their years together that made them better. Their stability. The same with the 80s teams. The 90s were full of good teams that were short lived

No.. I never ONCE said they were better than the Jazz... YOU made that assumption. I stated that Sonics was not a scrub team and 64 wins should not dismissed... it shyts on EVERY record that Lebron had to face against in a finals series up until now.... And I even stated that you cannot name ONE team that had a better BACK TO BACK season run than the JAZZ in comparison to Lebron had to face in the finals.... Stay on topic which you clearly can't because you know that this is a BULLshyt thread deep in your heart and the teams Lebron had to go up against weren't greater than the teams Jordan faced.... The CLOSEST is the Spurs and even that is scraping above the grain.

80's only had three good teams...so maybe the basketall finals was better..but those 80 teams was shytty...

90 teams had wayyyy more parity...pretty much every year was a different team other than the bulls competing
