yeah and apparently NBA.com does too, but of course you know more right

http://www.nba.com/2011/news/features/shaun_powell/09/09/michael-jordan-family-visit-2001/index.html

thanks for proving you have zero clue what you are talking about. now that youve proven you have zero clue, i bid you adieu and welcome to the ignore dungeon, we have no further business to discuss

From that same article, it says:

In 2001, Jordan's career was rolling down the other side of the summit. He had retired three years earlier, for the second and final time, he insisted. But the irresistible pull of the game and a chance at part-ownership of the Wizards was too powerful to keep him in a rocking chair. And so, with the blessing of millions of basketball fans, Jordan reincarnated himself, in a different city, with a different team.

Bu-bu-but you said "he only came back to play for wiz to donate his salary to help 9/11 relief efforts" which is not true...he was coming back regardless per the ARTICLE YOU POSTED:umad:

I agree. I don't think PIppen ever missed the playoffs in his life.

6 rings, never missed the playoffs, never missed 30 shots in a game, lock down defender even when he was old.

Pippen was like the Tim Duncan of Small Forwards :mjcry:
We've never given him the credit we should. I blame the marketing of Jordan. It convinced 2 whole generations that Michael played with lazy, talentless, disinterested players who were bad in the locker room and ignores the contributions of the front office and coaching staff. Winning like the Bulls did takes everyone contributing on and off the court at a high level and 6 titles in 8 years requires all that plus the stars lining up right (adding 6 teams from 1988-1995, Utah beating Houston at the buzzer. I think they wouldn't have had an answer for Hakeem). Teams win titles in a team sport.

We need to make a Scottie Pippen appreciation thread:wow:

To see him basically being referred to as "Luigi" is weak:heh:

He was a GREAT player and more than held up his own. Again, the 1994 season should've erase all doubts, but people still disrespect him and his game:snoop:

Honestly, Prime Scottie Pippen would be the best all-around player in the NBA today...I said it.:manny:

Please make that thread breh. It's the thread we all need but don't deserve right now.

So we'll post in it. Cause Pip deserved it.

Cause he's not Michael Jordan.

He's an all around player. A silent leader. A watchful facilitator and defensive powerhouse.

Scottie Pippen.

That's a thread that will have to be done in the offseason when things are quiet, so he can get some respect:yeshrug:
