Michael Jordan didn't give a fukk about "efficiency".....and he's the fukking GOAT:ufdup:

You damn stat nerds are fukking up the integrity of basketball by bringing these nerdy ass baseball stat up and trying to integrate them onto basketball talk

he gave enough of a fukk to shoot 50% from the field in 8 times:mjpls:

how many times has kobe come close to shooting 50%?:patrice:

i bet when kobe went on his streak of consecutive 50-point games nerdy ass basketball stats mattered:troll:

Just remember, Greg Popovich is no fool. He basically dared Bron to shoot outside shots last year in the Finals and for the first 6 games he looked like a genius. Bron just had a hot streak during game 7. I'll take my chances with Bron shooting outside shots anyday. I'll win 6 times outta 7.

You don't watch the games because the reason why Popovich's scheme worked was not because Lebron was taking the shots and missing it was because he wasn't taking them AT ALL.
What you saw in game 7 was LeBron actually growing some balls and taking the shots.

I won't even address what you said earlier in this post just smh all around. So you're trying to somehow discredit Lebron for playing the game intelligently, gotcha.

Bron was dropping 40 at 19. I don't see why you expect Kobe and LeBron to play similar when they're two completely different players. It's like comparing Magic to Mike. Or AI to Oscar Robertson.

Agreed. So why do YOU yourself keep comparing them in all of these Kobe/Lebron threads? You'll say something like this but then argue someone down on why Kobe doesn't do such and such better than Lebron and why he isn't as efficient as Bron (used as a shot against Kobe's game)

I can't hate on Lebron, the boy is crazy right now. He's not boring, he's just not as exciting as Kobe a healthy Wade.

Playing with a bunch of superstars makes the game easier :smugbiden:

Lebron's fg% in years before decision: .475% clip
Lebron's fg% in years after decision: .538% clip

Wade's fg% in years before decision: .482% clip
Wade's fg% in years after decision: .505% clip

Bosh's fg% in years before decision: .492% clip
Bosh's fg% in years after decision: .507% clip

Find a thread where I'm comparing their style of play then get back to me. :camby:

rebs and asts are rarely interesting so I don't know why from a basketball fan point of view I would care if the player had a great all around game

My favorite game ever from Kobe was the 62 pts in 3 qtrs against the Mavs in 05-06. I believe he had 0 asts and like 2 rebs that game. That was a spectacular game that I'll never forget.

I would never say that his 53/10/8 game against the Rockets in 06-07 was better. Or his 52/8/7 against the Rockets in 02-03. Or his 51/7/8 against the Warriors in 2000. Or his 47/8/5 against the Blazers last year with 5 steals and 3 blocks. Etc.

Kobe has had a ton of high scoring games with much better ast and reb numbers but those were never as memorable as the straight up fukk everyone else on the court I'm gonna score now games. Maybe for you box score/fantasy basketball playing nerds might think this is heresy but I'll take a 60 point game from Kobe with 0 asts and rebs over a 40/10/8 game....easy.

the 60 point games are much more exciting
This thread isn't about Kobe's best scoring performance. This thread is about Lebron being the most efficient player in the first ten games of the season. A player should work on their game to be efficient and make smart decision with the ball than be a reckless turnover machine. Lebron being a better player than he was in Cleveland benefit his current team by not shooting wild difficult shots like Kobe has been doing in his career. Lebron could attempt 20 shots and will get 30pts or more with ease. He doesn't need to score like Mamba because he is playing with two other all-star and the Heat's bench has gotten better this season.

Give me the player that shoots 45% and entertains the crowd vs the player that only cares about being efficient and looking good for old cacs :umad:

mind you one player plays through multiple injuries to bless the people that buy tickets with hard earned money and the other sits because he's tired.

The guy who you disrespected because he is efficient just won two straight titles and won back to back MVP while blessing the ESPN highlights with thunderous dunks. The King's game is entertaining and efficient as the same damn time. Now, can we all said the same about Kobe ? :ld:
