Leonardo DiCaprio is already one of the greatest actors of all time and he's not even 40. He can act well into his 70s, if he wanted to, like Pachino and De Niro.

He's already been in

The Basketball Diaries
Gangs of New York
The Departed
Blood Diamond
Catch Me If You Can
Inception
Wolf Of Wall Street

These are all fine films.. and he's showcased his versatility in roles like Body Of Lies, Revolutionary Road, J Edgar and Django.

More recently, Wolf Of Wall Street was almost three hours of Leo's acting and you were completely entertained and locked into his role/character.

I realize I didn't mention many minority actors there.

I've heard great things about Chiwetel Ejiofor but I haven't seen him in any movie besides American Gangster.

Denzel Washington, I think, is predictable at this point.
Don Cheadle has 1 great performance followed by 6 mediocre ones.
And I don't see anything special in terms of acting with Idris Elba, but again, he's highly praised for his role as Mandela so I'll have to see.

Wait no. Jeffrey Wright is a great actor. No recognition though.
So is Giancarlo Esposito.
I'll give Anthony Mackie props for The Hurt Locker.

And even though I don't think he's got much range, I kinda like Michael Williams (Chalky White on Boardwalk Empire...Omar Little on The Wire)

I agree...not the GOAT, but he's been in many of my favorite movies (The Basketball Diaries, Romeo And Juliet, and The Beach come to mind).

Also, you do know he's a big hip-hop head. He's had Wu-Tang and Outkast play at his birthday parties in the past.

Seems like a really cool dude too.

Denzel is pretty 1 dimension in my book at time goes on...

Cosign this, Denzel is definitely a great actor, but he really hasn't taken many risks in his career. People might try to point out "Hurricane" or "Training Day" but if you compare him to Leo he REALLY hasn't done anything risky

That's what I'm sayin. I can't figure out why he won't. WTF is he waitin on, he's gotta be pushing 70 I mean dam. He's always the "good guy" or "saves the day" , the few times he's went outside that (hurricane, training day, American gangsta) he brings down the fukkin house so I don't get it.

That's one of the reasons I haven't seen "2guns" bcuz I kno he's gonna be the same ol Denzel and save the day..man fukk that.

He still my nikka tho :myman: but Leo's the shyt, Inception solidified it for me.:yeshrug:

That should be Will Smith too.....if you're throwing in Denzel but yet Denzel has a ball to play a bad guy in Training Day......while Will Smith didn't.....He's playing the "Hero", "Good Daddy", etc. I'm getting tired of Will Smith. Will is a good actor but one dimension too.

Imagine if Will Smith in Flight movie?.....Imagine if Will Smith in Training Day?.....Imagine if Will Smith took the deal in Django Unchained but he can't because he had to doing f*cking Men In Black 3....are you f*cking kidding me?...I'm getting tired of him.
