Respect to bird. If he played in today's game with the softer rules......

Kevin McHale actually gets slept on majorly. Dude was obscenely skilled and blisteringly effective on the low block like nobody's business. In the last 30 years, only Dr34m tops him for big man footwork and low post supremacy IMO. He was putting up 26 PPG on 60%+ (!) at his best, including on Sampson and Olajuwon themselves in the '86 Finals. The only reason he didn't take FMVP is because Larry Legend was on some 24/10/10 (rounding 9.7 RPG and 9.5 APG) for the series.
^ Where's the love @Wiirdo?
Baby Dirk was a fantastic athlete for a 7 footer. Early on he was basically a Small Forward. He followed the Jordan career arc perfectly and became a dominant post player as his athleticism faded.
But before that he was a less athletic version of what Kevin Durant is now.
Not nearly the passer Bird was but I would argue that he was quicker.
larry legend was a beast...damn shame the beatings he took fukked his back up, and shortened his career...my fav moments from him:
1. when playing the pacers, he told the rifleman he had a christmas present for him....he shot a 3, then turned around and told chuck 'merry christmas muthafukka' lol....
2. the time he scored almost 40 shooting mostly left handed...
3. him 2 piecing the shyt outta laimbeer...
4. him getting 2 pieced by dr j while chuck was holding him lol...

I was watching McHale highlights last night. I knew he was a great player in the past, but I never knew how great. His footwork is absolutely fukking beautiful. I never would have guessed it. That fake he had was just a work of art
When Reggie Miller hit the GW three over Jordan in Game 4 of the '98 ECF.

And if had magic's passing abilityIf Dirk were faster, more athletic and could run point forward... you'd have Bird.
